Sasha's POV.
" Mama, mama look!!" I cried as I went to show her Walnuts open eyes. She looked down at me and the crouched down next to us so she could see.
" Her eyes opened!" I cry.
" I see that. They look so beautiful. " said my mother.
I grinned joyfully at her. Walnut is the most adorable thing on this planet. She seems to like Connor more. I don't mind. He needs something to look after and Walnut is perfect for the job.
He seems a bit happier since we talked last. I'm happy about that. " Mama, Walnut is helping Mister Connor? Right?" I ask seeking assurance.
She looks a little startled but grins knowingly. " You are one smart girl. Yes, Walnut is helping Connor. " she said.
I grin and look back down at Walnut who has currently fallen asleep in my arms. The doors open and the sound of thundering feet comes from the front of the pack house.
Two people appear in the doorway. It was Miss Tasha and Mister Clayton. My face can't possibly grin more then I am. I quickly hand Walnut over to my mother and run to hug Miss Tasha.
She sees me coming and holds out her arms. She catches me and spins me around. " Well hello there princess. I have a surprise for you today. " she said.
Joy and curiousness filled me. " A surprise? What is it? Tell me, tell me, tell me. " I cry.
She laughs and sets me down before getting down by me. " You are going to meet some of the kids here today. Have a little play date. " says Tasha.
I gasp in wonder. Other kids, for me to play with? I hope they're nice. I look at miss Tasha. " Are they nice?" I ask.
She looks shocked by my question and shares a look with my mom before nodding at me. " They are very sweet and can't wait to meet you. " says Miss Tasha.
" How many are there?" I ask.
" So far I want to start you off with two. Their names are April and Donnie. " says Miss Tasha.
I grin even wider if they were possible. " Like the mutant turtles?!" I ask. She laughs and nods her head.
I let out a squeal. I was so excited. " Hurry and eat and then we can go see them. " says Miss Tasha.
" Yes ma'am. " I then rush to do so as mama sets my food down in front of me on the table. I take my time eating because last time I rushed while eating mama got mad at me cause I made a big mess.
Once I'm done eating I go and wash up before walking back in. " Come on. Let's go meet some new friends. " says Miss Tasha holding out her hand. I reach over and take her hand without any hesitation.
She leads me out of the pack house and down a gravel pathway. This place looks so pretty. I see my mama is right behind us smiling at me fondly.
I really love this place. I hope we can stay here forever. Miss Tasha leads us over to a playground and there on the swings sits two kids around my age. The boy was taller with dark brown hair that looked so soft. He had green eyes and was missing one of his front teeth.
The girl had her long blonde hair in two pigtails with ribbons tied around them. She had blue eyes and a couple of freckles on her face.
They saw me and got off the swings to come say hi. " April, Donnie, this is Sasha. She's staying here for a while and could use some friends. " says Miss Tasha.
" We would love to be your friend Sasha. It's so nice to meet you. " says Donnie.
" Agreed. " says April.
I look at them and grin. " Nice to meet you too. " I say enthusiastically.
" Have fun Sasha. Your mom and I will be over at that bench for a while. " says Miss Tasha.
" Ok Miss Tasha. " I say.
She lets go of my hand and walks over to sit on a bench with my mother. I look back at the other kids.
" Mom says you're human, is that true?" Asks April.
I nod my head. " Yes it is. " I said.
They both have looks of shock. " That's wicked. " says April.
" I've never met a human before. This is so cool. Welcome to the pack. " says Donnie.
" Thank you. I love it here. This pack is beautiful. " I say.
" It is. Luna Amber is doing a good job keeping this pack looking so beautiful. " says April.
" What does Luna mean?" I ask.
" Oh right. Luna means they are the mate of the Alpha or the one in charge of the pack. That's what Luna Amber is. " says April.
" My mom said it's a way to show respect to them. " says Donnie.
" That's so cool. " I said.
" It truly is. " says April.
" Ok, come on. Let's go sit down over at the swings and learn more about each other " says Donnie.
" Ok. " I say and together we all walk to the swings and sit down on one.
" So we all know each others names. What's your age?" Asked Donnie.
" I'm seven. " I say proudly.
" I'm seven too. " says April.
" I turned 8 a week ago. " says Donnie.
" That's so cool. " I cry. April laughs.
" What about your favorite color?" I ask.
" Blue!" Cried April.
" I like the color red. " says Donnie.
" I have never been able to decide between blue, green, or pink. " I admit.
" Those are all good colors. " says Donnie.
" Mainly blue though. " says April. Donnie and I laugh as she grins. The three of us talk for a while before seeing who can swing the highest.
We stopped after mama said not to go that high. So instead we ran towards the slides to have fun.
I'm so happy I met these two. They're kind and a lot of fun to hang out with. I can't wait to see what's next.
