Rebecca's POV.
It's been so long since I've felt so protected and safe. I've been held captive by many different people in my life. Most of them were humans. I remember my mother when I was a toddler.
The last memory I have of her is seeing her worries face against the silver bars of the cell we had both been in. She was screaming for me I think. It's been so long, I barely remember what she sounded like.
I haven't seen her since that day. I was 4 years old when that happened. It's been several years since then. I'm not sure how old I actually am. People there only referred to me as a product.
I never knew my name. One nice old lady that took care of me and taught me how to speak and write was named Rebecca. I grew close to her. She always called me little one and it made me feel safe.
Ever since arriving here in this unknown place with the humans that kept me captive for so long, it's just felt so right to be here. Almost like there's something or some voice inside of me begging to be let free.
I rarely spoke because whenever I did they would out this mean muzzle on me that really hurt. I would heal fast from the damage it caused but after a while it's almost like I grew used to the burn for the muzzle. They would hit me too if I didn't listen, but I would always listen to them. I would.
The nice old lady was the only one I trusted. She wasn't caretaker and was allowed here with me. We were meant to sneak into the really big house they had here. Because of my powers I can always sense someone around me so I was able to tell when a stranger showed up.
I also had the ability to make them fall asleep. That's why they always take me with them to things like this. Then we heard more people show up and were told to hide.
I was led upstairs by the silver collar they had around my neck connected to a chain they would pull me around with. They led me upstairs and soon it was just the old lady and I.
She removed the collar and muzzle and had me hide in a closet. I did as told and never left until I heard voices outside. I don't know where the others had gone but I was now with people that seemed to care for me in a way no one has before.
They gave me food and healed my injuries. Connor seems so nice he smelt so good, it reminded me of my mothers scent. He also had powers like me and he was so kind.
I felt the inside of his mind though. He's had bad stuff happen to him and I've never tried it before but I want to see if I can use my powers to heal him. I can use my powers for other things too. I just hope I can help him and heal him in the same way he healed me.
Then there's Amber. She's warm and so kind she has a voice that just calms my nerves and relaxes me. They have made me feel safer than I ever have before.
I'm still nervous around them and scared to talk out loud but they don't seem to mind. They pay attention to me, ask me for my permission with certain things and now they're making sure I get clothes that fit and from what they said, toys too?
I don't think I've had a toy before. It sounds amazing. Sasha is really nice as well. She seems nice for a human. So does her mother. I'm still very hesitant around humans. I know I'm not a human or else I wouldn't have these powers or the reaction to silver that I have. I'm not sure what I am though. Maybe they call tell me.
Right now I'm holding on to the hand of the guy who found me in the closet. Rick, I think. He's very nice.
As we walk down the street we make it to what looks like a small town. I've seen human towns before but never a small town like this. I was told these people were werewolves and very dangerous, but they don't seem dangerous to me. I'll make sure I keep my guard up with them though.
