"I can't," Mason whined.

There, Hobi was sitting down, wearing a tiara, while Avery was handing him a tea cup, and Arella was spinning in a circle. Jacob was holding a small stuffed wolf and looking at a book his father had given him.

"Tae wasn't feeling well. He was hoping that being near the pups would help."

Hobi nodded, "Well, Arella wants to dance, and I know she'd love to have her Daddy dance with her, and Jacob really wants to cuddle and read stories, so Tae can do that while Avery and I have our tea party." So that's what the six of them did. 

It was perfect for Tae. He could lay down in the little nest that Mason had made in the nursery for the pups to relax in. It was so comforting. The scents of all his mates and the pups' milky scent were precisely what he needed to make the pain go away. He looked at Hobi, "I see why you hang out here so much; it's so calming. Like I can seriously almost forget about it."

The elder nodded, "Yup, I knew I wasn't going to go into a full rut with Mason being pregnant anyway. But I barely have any symptoms by staying in here with the pups."

Tae pouted a bit, "You should have told me. I would have come in here too."

"Yoongi said the same thing," he snorted, "but honestly if I knew you were in pain I would have. I thought you two were going at it like Jin and Joon, so I didn't see the point, you know? If I thought for a second that you needed it I would have. I promise," he got up and walked over to the other Beta, kissing him on the nose, then their mating mark before he kissed him on the lips. "I never wanted you to be in pain, you never said anything until Kook carried you in here."

"Had I known?" Tae sighed as his long fingers ran through the sleeping pup's hair that was laying on his chest. "Honestly, until about two hours ago, it was fine, more annoying than anything else. I could handle it, but then all of a sudden, it felt like. I honestly can't even describe it; it didn't feel like any rut I'd ever felt in my life. I," he stopped and chewed on his lip, looking almost embarrassed.

"What is it? You know you can tell us anything."

"Ruts don't normally hurt like that, it's almost like what Mason used to describe his heats as."

Hobi's eyebrows raised a bit as Kook's head whipped over to look at his two Betas, "Baby, what do you mean?"

"I don't know how to describe it," he sighed.

"Just try."

All Hobi could hear over the link was Jin's happy screams. Hobi didn't want to carry, he wanted pups, but never wanted to carry them, Jin and Tae would carry them in a heartbeat, Jimin, he was a wildcard and Hobi wasn't sure what he'd want.
