"Zim is really learning how to talk to people. Zim is so smart! Dib is really fun to have around. Zim has a bright future ahead of him. Zim will be successful!" Zim purred in delight. You put his glasses back on your face deciding to wear them as you put your normal glasses in your pocket.
"I look forward to seeing all the things you're going to do Zim." You pat his head smiling.
"Zim has more!" Zim purred taking out all the other things in his back.
"No way... Zim is this?" You gasped.
"Zim did a lot of research on this. But this is the stuff you use for you paranormal things right?" Zim asked.
"Yeah! Holy shit! You got it all! Crossed, spirit box, dot system, night vision googles and cameras! You made all this?" You stated at him in shock.
"Yup. Indestructible and waterproof. Also fireproof. And emp proof." Zim purred.
"You even have a laptop!!!" You were like a kid in a candy store.
"Yesss! Zim has a Irken to English translator on it so you can use it and learn Irken if you want." Zim purred.
"Zim this is too good to be true.." you hugged the equipment blushing, "What do you want from me?" You asked him cutely.
"Zim wants to make Dib happy? Does this not make you happy." Zim asked confused.
"It does! It really does Zim you have no idea!" You tell him.
"Then Zim is happy he purred.
You could kiss him. You could freaking kiss him. This was the most amazing gifts anyone had ever given to you. It didn't feel right if you didn't. It be weird though. But...
"Hey... Zim... I want to show my gratitude to you for this." You deeply blushed, "Can I kiss you?" You asked him.
"Zim does not see Dib as a homosexual. Zim is straight." He told you.
You're kinda surprised he knows what that meant even though he refused to watch porn. He did use it correctly.
You felt embarrassed now, "I kissed you on the cheek and you didn't mind that. I... was going to do that..." you shyly lied.
"Zim is straight." He told you.
"I don't know if I should kiss you or not." You were honestly confused.
"Then do not kiss me." He told you.
"I won't than. Geez. I was just being nice." You sighed as maybe you deserved that you got too excited.
You stared at the stuff quietly. Maybe you had hoped for something more with Zim. Maybe part of you actually wanted to spend your whole life with him. You felt your crying. You're such an idiot.
A big... stupid idiot...
You hugged your knees and buried your head in them.
It's obvious now. That you're the one in love with Zim not him and you were just hoping he was in love with you. You wanted him to love you. Of course he doesn't. You're a human. He's an alien it never work out.
You only cried harder as you hugged your knees tightly. You hear a quiet pur and look up. Zim was sitting there watching you. His antennae were tipped forward as he was smiling at you.
"Dib loves Zim." He said.
You just bury your face in your knees.
"I love you Zim. But more than in a friend way... more than a family way. When you called me out like that... I just kinda realized it all at once." You spoke in a cracked gushed voice.
