Summary:
Dib has always been at odds with the school bullies lead by Johnny, but now as they've gone from elementary to high school a lot has changed...
Dib secretly has feelings for Zim. Zim has accepted his banishment and decided to stop destroying earth. Johnny now Dib's friend?!? In weird twist of fate. The two with their anti authoritarian behavior have bonded together and now Dib has weirdly become Johnny's friend and joined his gang of rebels/delinquents.
————————————————————Elementary was a lot different than high school. Dib was starting to severely miss Miss Bitters and her lectures of doom and gloom. The teachers here were strict, but not in the ridiculous cruel ways that Miss Bitters was, but true strictness. In fact, Miss Bitter gave the kids way more freedom than these teachers ever did.
Johnny leaned over and nudged Dib with his elbow handing over an ear bud and Dib beamed taking it. Johnny seems to like Starset, which isn't a bad band, but it was kinda hit or miss for Dib. The song that was playing was Infected. Though honestly Dib wasn't paying attention to the lyrics as he was doing the stupid extra credit homework the teacher was forcing them to do. Johnny also was doing his work and trying not tap his pencil to the best of his music.
Honestly, Johnny is kind of genius. As long as they don't get caught by the teacher for having earbuds in their ears they can do homework to some background music.
The reason they were in trouble is because they were late for class and they both brought knives to school. In Dib's defense it's his silver monster hunting knife and it's saved him from death many times. Johnny though. Well he likes to carry a knife and use to scare people with and only occasionally stab them with.
Johnny is the son of the police of chief and he was born and raised in a cabin in the forest. His family has always been known as the wild ones. People call them the forest people and others simply just say they are cursed with the spirit of hunters. For whatever reason, Johnny is wild, dangerous, and unpredictable. While his father is very intimidating.
If Dib's be honest. He's actually been in juvenile with Johnny, before. Johnny would listen to Dib's crazy stories and tell Dib about some animal he recently skinned alive in full gory details. Dib doesn't know how to feel about the guy even now, but he's kind of warming up to him.
Finally they finished detention and turned their homework in. Johnny puts his hands behind his head as lead the way out of the room and Dib followed quietly. The song was "Jungle" by Alok, The Chainsmokers and Mae Stephens was playing on the earbuds.
Dib again was paying all that much attention and he doubt Johnny was really listening to the lyrics either. As they headed out of the building together after collecting their knives back. Johnny takes his earbud back.
"So you in?" Johnny asked Dib if he's decided to join Johnny's gang.
"I don't know..." Dib sighed.
"So beta male." Johnny 'tsked' with his mouth as Dib frowned, "Come on Dib. Embrace the rebellious side. You know you want to be part of the gang." Johnny playfully nudge Dib.
"Oh please don't tell me you believe in that alpha male bull crap. It's been scientifically disproven!" Dib says.
"Puhu you're no fun." Johnny chuckled, "Doesn't matter if I believe in it or not. I just know it's something fun to pretend to act like the alpha of a pack. You should give it a try." Johnny says, "I think you'll enjoy being the bad boy." Johnny mischievously grins.
"Uh... no... thanks. I'm fine." Dib winced.
"Ahaha such a beta male!" Johnny grinned.
"Am! Am not!" Dib looks mad now.
