I ran on. My adrenaline pumping as I trailed behind Rick and Carl, looking over my shoulder every now and again to make sure they weren't catching up with us.

Luckily, we'd lost the main herd and only had a small pack of them following us. They were manageable, but, be it just the three of us, our options were limited. We either had to fight, keep going, or we had to find another way to circle back to the farm. No matter what, we had to stick together.

Before too long, Carl stopped, turning around and raised his gun. I quickly batted it back down, drawing Rick's attention. "We use our knives. Guns will attract more, here." He panted and handed Carl his knife. He then took Shane's from his belt. With everything that happened, I hadn't even realised he'd taken it. He had his gun too.

Carl accepted the knife as the growling got louder and I pulled my own from my belt, looking at the shadowy figures through the trees. It looked like there were around six or so of them heading towards us. We'd taken bigger.

Rick ran up first. He took out the two closest to us, stabbing his knife into their skulls before making his way over to the third. As he did, both Carl and I jogged over and I easily swung my knife into the fourth, then the fifth. Carl, on the other hand, shoved the last one away from him as he couldn't quite swing the knife high enough to reach, but with my back to him, it wasn't until I turned around that I saw how close the walker was and it fell on top of me.

In a matter of seconds, I yelped and raised both my hands to my face, gripping my knife tight, where the walker's head fell straight onto the blade. It's blood dripping down onto my face as I felt it's body go limp. I was still alive. My whole body a terrified wreck.

With what ever strength I had, I pushed the corpse off of me and stood up. Rick and Carl were gone, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't see them through the darkness. I definitely couldn't risk calling for them. They'd left me. They probably thought I was dead the second I fell to the ground.

Then, just through the trees, I saw something move. Hoping to see Rick and Carl, but it wasn't. More walkers were heading straight towards me, blocking any chance I had of getting back to the farm, and I knew there was no way I was getting through them. Not on my own. I only had one option. I had to run. I had to hope that somewhere down the road, I might be able to circle back.

I took off and ran. Ran for what felt like hours. Even when my legs got tired, I didn't stop. I just kept my knife in my hand, my gun in my belt and tried to block out the pain that rushed through my body. It getting worse the more exhausted I got, not knowing how much longer I could keep it up.

Once I was sure I had some distance between myself and the walkers, I looked behind. Sure enough I couldn't see anything so I started to slow down. My heart pounding in my chest. The sweat dripping down my face. I could hardly see a thing in the darkness, but I knew if someone saw me, they weren't likely to be friendly, but I was too exhausted to care.

My run had now turned into a walk as I tried to make sense of my surroundings and it only made me think about the others. Briana and I had just found each other after what happened on the boat. I didn't think it were possible, but it was. Finding out Hershal was my godfather and learning things about my dad I never knew. As for everyone else, I didn't know where they were, didn't know if they all made it or if they even left the farm at all. I didn't know if I'd ever see Daryl again.

The questions whizzed around in my head until, suddenly, I walked into something hanging out of a tree.

Without realizing, I let out a small scream as I stepped back to take a look. It was a walker, but it had something around its neck which hung it in the air. Then, I took another step back, raising my hand to cover my face, as a blinding light shone in my eyes.
