It was another hour or two before we pulled up around the back of a large building. It had no signs, but I guessed this was part of the place Hershal talked about. It had to be.
Not wanting to waste any more time, we all climbed out of the car and gathered around the bonnet, where Tyreese pulled out the map and glanced over at the building.
"This it?" Bob asked.
"The building we want is just up ahead." Tyreese nodded, pointing to the building a little ways ahead of us.
"Alright." I nodded. "Lets go."
No one argued and Tyreese took the lead as we all made our way over to the building. I had to say, whatever Michonne must've said to him back at that garage, it seemed to have made him focus. He wasn't as angry anymore and that was a good thing.
Once we finally reached the building, I took lead and we began slowly making our way down the corridors. I had my crossbow raised and stopped at every door, checking it to not only look for the meds, but to make sure that we were alone. That last thing we want now is to get jumped with no way out.
That was when I opened another door and walked into some kind of laboratory. My eyes then fell to the back of the room where I spotted what it was we came here for. The medication. It was all in glass cupboards and didn't look like it had been touched since before everything went down.
"Alright, lets make his quick." I said, walking over and grabbing a couple of bottles, shoving them into my bag.
That was when I spotted another door which looked like it connected to another room similar to the one we were in. If not, then a large storage room.
I didn't want to pass up the chance to get as much as we could, so I took Tyreese with me and the two of us entered the next room, leaving Michonne and Bob to clear the first.
Neither Tyreese nor I said a word as we emptied the glass cupboards and began searching through all of the desks and draws. There was no way I was leaving without having as much of this stuff as we possible could. We never know when we might need it.
We were so quiet and focused that, over the sound of the pills rattling and the squeaks of the doors, I could hear Bob saying something in the other room, but I couldn't quite make out a sentence.
In the back of my mind, all I could think about was the run to the Big Spot and that maybe I should've bought him in here, instead of Tyreese, so I could keep my eye on him. The last thing we want was for him to fuck us up, again. We had too much riding on us for that to happen.
With that in mind, I finished searching through the last of the draws and looked over at Tyreese, who was coming out of one of the store rooms.
"That everything?" He asked.
I took one last look around me and nodded. "Yeah. Lets go." All I could think about now was getting out of here and getting back to her. I'd made a promise and I intend on keeping it.
With our bags and pockets filled with supplies, we both made our way back into the other room where we saw Michonne putting more pills into her bag and Bob hovering next to his, emoty handed.
"How'd you do?" He asked, once he saw us looking.
"Bags, tubes, clamps, connectors. Everything on the list." We told him, putting the filled bags onto the desk, next to Michonne's.
"What about y'all?" I questioned.
Bob looked directly back at me, then to Michonne. "Yeah we got it all." He hesitated.
We all then looked over to Michonne as she took one last look at the cabinets before turning around and nodding. "Yeah, we're good."
"Alright. Lets roll." I nodded back and took my bag, pulling it onto my shoulders.
