Just as we were all about to head off into our own cells, we all stopped and stared at each another for a moment. I think it was more of a reality check than anything else. I mean in the matter of a couple hours we'd cleared out the field, the yard and cell block c. Something I thought would take a lot longer than it did.

"I ain't sleeping in no cage. I'll take the perch." Daryl announced from the second floor balcony. I hadn't even realised he was still up there but everyone seemed to smile in response.

As the others began to make their way to the cells, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself at Daryl's comment but I dont think anyone noticed. I think we were all too tired to care anyway even if someone had saw me.

Then I spotted Briana skipping over to me just as I was about to head to the stairs. I knew exactly what she was going to say. "Oh god. I'm not stuck with you am I?" I joked sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

She slapped her hands on her cheeks and had a look of shock on her face which was then closely followed by a smile. "How did you ever guess." She laughed. The pair of us then both burst out into a fit of giggles as we both made our way over and up the stairs.

Once we were up, Daryl was laying on the ground at the top of the stairs and he watched as we passed. He'd already spread an old blanket down and had his pack resting under his head. I then caught Briana smirking in my direction as we passed and I just shook my head and smiled, gently bumping her arm with mine.

There was still one cell that we hadn't been in as the door was open when we first walked in. It was now closed so I made my way up to it, peering inside. It looked clean enough, with a bunk bed which didn't seem have any blood stains on it or the ground,  but more importantly there were no walkers.

Making the decision that this was going to be the cell Briana and I would share, I pushed on the cell door to open it. It was locked. I turned back to Briana before pushing it a little harder to make sure it wasn't just stuck but nope, it was locked. I could've sworn it was open when we searched the building unless Rick or Daryl had shut it before everyone else came in.

"Daryl!" I called over to him. He sat up from his perch and looked at me. "Can I borrow your keys?" I asked.

I watched as he lazily took the keys from his belt and tossed them over to me. Luckily I caught them before they could drop to the floor below where fumbled around tryinf to find the right key for the lock. It didn't take me too long before i unlocked the door ans opened the cell. I thentook Daryl's keys back to him leaving Brian to get settled.

"Thanks." He mumbled as he attached his keys back to his belt and raised his arm above his head. I couldn't help but shake my head and smile back at him as I walked back to the cell. Daryl watching as I did so.

Briana was already inside looking around her with a disgusted look on her face. "Pretty gross." She sighed.

"Yeah...Yeah it is. But just think, it's better in here than it is out there." I replied, almost copying her facial expression.

"I guess I'll take bottom." Briana nodded and sat down on the bottom bunk. "It's actually...it's actually pretty comfortable." She smiled looking up at me. "Check it out."

I rolled my eyes and climbed up to the second bunk. Suprisingly, she was right. It was pretty comfortable. The pair of us then watched as Lori and Carol walked past. I would've thought she'd be sharing with Rick and Carl but maybe I was wrong. Maybe with her being so far along in her pregnancy she needed her space, even if she's still be off with me.

Once they'd passed and the prison went silent I climbed back down from the bed and noticed that Briana had already fallen asleep. She always used to fall asleep quickly but it goes to show how exhaused we all really are.
