"We stay in formation. Make our way through." Rick announced as we all walked to the gate. He'd gone through the plan once again before we made our way over.

"Good luck." My dad whispered to me. I nodded as we stopped by the gate. We needed as much luck as we could get to clear out the whole yard.

Once there, Rick took off one of the chains from the gate so it dangled on the fence. The walkers near the gate then almost immediately turned and started to walk towards us but before they could begin to make any more noise we put them down, securing our way in.

"Ready?" Hershal questioned as he gripped his hands on the gate.

Rick nodded and with nothing else said, he slid the gate across to where Tdog raced in first, taking out the first walker. We all then followed in after him where Hershal closed the gate behind us.

This was it. We all stood in formation, creating a circle, facing outwards, putting all of our trust and faith into one another. All of us each having a side to cover and taking out any walkers that got too close whilst the others tapped their knives on the gate, taking out as many walkers as they could.

We hadn't gotten to far before I had to bring my knife down into a walkers head, taking my first victim. It then fell to the ground and I stepped over another, that Glenn had just taken out, where I tripped on its grubby hand. Then another walker began making its way to me as I was still on the ground. But before it could sink its rotten teeth into my skin, Daryl took it out and helped me to my feet.

"Are you alright?" He panicked, quickly checking me over for any bites or scratches.

"Yeah. Yeah. I'm fine." I nodded a little shaken.

The two of us then quickly rejoined the rest of the group as the walkers started to swarm us. Swing after swing we took them down. Not breaking formation and not letting any be spared in the risk it could take one of us out.

Eventually, we took out the cluster that had swarmed us and continued moving. Then, all of a sudden, Tdog broke formation and began running over to some police shields that lay on the ground. Rick yelled at him to come back but he didn't listen. "We may need that!" Tdog yelled back.

Tdog picked up the shield and pushed a walker down with it before ending its reanimated state with his machete. I quickly ran and plunged my knife into anothers head as he rejoined the group. "Almost there." Rick announced as we moved under a bridge looking walkway.

It looked like we'd gotten all of the ones in the yard, that we could see, so Rick opened a door that was near him and checked it to see there were no walkers. He then moved back and continued to walk but just as I was about to follow on behind, I was pulled back up against the wall by Daryl. It was then I saw why as Rick was also leaning up against the wall, peeping round the cormer.

Daryl stepped out with his crossbow pointing up to the sky. Two walkers wearing black suits and helmets came from around a far corner. It looked like police riot gear. Then two more came from where Rick was standing. They snarled at us and started to hobble over.

Daryl was the first to try and shoot the walkers but his arrow just bounced off of the helmet. After seeing that arrows couldn't kill these walkers, Rick and Tdog both ran forward as another armoured walker came from the open door where I was standing.

I quickly swung my knife and tried to stab at it but it didn't work so I pushed it as hard as I could away from me causing it to topple over. I then ran passed Rick and Tdog who were fighting another two of the armed walkers and ran to the open gate. The walkers on the other side were already starting to notice us and began heading to us.
