It's been roughly around a month since everything happened with the farm and my dad. I know we've definitely been fixing our father daughter relationship and everyone in the group can see it, though they're still a bit distant from me. Even when Norman tries to stir things up, with what I know now, I know to ignore what ever comes out his mouth.

He's changed from the days where we used to have BBQs and parties in my dad's back yard. I used to laugh at his ridiculously lame jokes. Not any more. As a matter of fact I needed to talk to him about what happened but I can't seem to find the right time.
Other than that, Hershal says that my leg seems to have healed up nicely despite having to move around a lot. If I've counted correctly, it has to be at least sixteen times. There just seems to be no where safe that these dead assholes haven't already taken over.

As for Daryl, he's been his old grumpy self lately and I've found that we don't really talk as much as we did back on the farm. The only time we do is when I'm on the back of his motorcycle and he hands me his crossbow or if he's asking if I'm alright. Sometimes he doesn't even speak at all. I just don't know what's going on between us anymore. It's as if the spark between us was gone.

"There's an old ware house up the road." Glenn called over to us breaking me from my thoughts. He'd just been up the road a ways with Maggie trying to find some where we could stay or gather supplies. Either one would be good.

"Secure?" Lori questioned. Her bump was starting to show against her skinny body.

Glenn nodded his head. "Pretty secure." He glanced over at Maggie and she also nodded.

"Alright. Lets go." Rick signalled and began heading towards the vehicles.

I climbed onto Daryl's motorcycle and watched as the others got into the cars. We havent had the chance to go out and find a third car but I suppose everyone's just gotten used to being squashed on top of each other, even if it was uncomfortable.

Daryl soon got onto the motorcycle in front of me, after having a quick conversation with Rick, and handed me his crossbow. He didnt say anything. He just handed me his bow and kicked up the stand before beginning to walk the bike, starting it. The whole not speaking thing was beginning to get to me and there was nothing I could do. I couldn't force him to speak. I'd tried many times and with everyone around, he always finds something to avoid answing me.

As we made our way up the road, my mothers amulet jingled. I thought of her and how I wished that somehow it was all a mistake, that she never did pass away, that she was still here to do the mother and daughter things I never got the chance to do. I wish that she could of just held on a little longer, so I could get to know her, so I could remember her without relying on pictures. To get to give her one last hug.

Soon enough we pulled up by the old abandoned ware house just like Glenn had said. Not that it looked out of place. Everything looks abandoned now a days. Either abandoned or overrun by the dead. Then I spotted a couple of put down walkers scattered accross the floor with two live ones over by the railings.

"I got 'em." I announced and grabbed my knife from my belt where I began to head over to them.

Once I was close enough, I tapped on the metal fence with my knife to get the attention of the closest one. Sure enough it turned and started to hobble over to me. Without any hesitation I swung my knife into its skull and caught the attention of the other as it fell to the ground.

I then pulled on my knife but it was stuck in the walkers head. I couldn't help but sigh and roll my eyes before looking back at the second approaching me. Thinking on my feet, I left the knife and kicked back the second walker so it fell against the fence, rattling it. I then kicked it again so that it was laying on the ground where I slammed my foot onto its face.

The blood squirted from its head and it went silent. In some ways, it was like I was releasing my anger and frustration on it as it lay there helplessly.

Once I was sure it was dead, I returned to the first walker and started to pull on my knife. It still wouldn't budge. I ended up having to push my foot against its head where I could then pull on my knife in hope that it'd come out. Thankfully it did and I was able to wipe the shit from it before making my way over to the others and into the warehouse.

As we stepped inside, I realised how cold it really was. I hadn't even noticed that most of the leaves had fallen from trees until now. I've been so focused on surviving that I guess I never noticed. Now I had I could definitely feel the cold winters breeze on my skin. We had to be careful. The last thing we wanted was to be taken out by the cold weather.

I snapped from my thoughts as we placed our supplies down next to the door, just in case we needed to make a quick get away. Once done, we all then gathered inside where we made our camp in a large room. To my surprise, Briana came and sat herself down next to me. She just looked over and smiled as everyone else got settled. I would've thought that she'd go over and sit with Beth, as the two of them have gotten a lot closer this past month. There's definitely a strong bond between the two of them. It's been there since I first introduced them to one another.

As a few minutes went by, we all sat or stood in total silence. I couldn't help but look up and and glare at Norman as he leaned up against the wall with his arms crossed looking back at me. I just turned my nose up at him and looked over into the centre of the room. I think he knew that I knew he lied. All I wanted to know was why.

Daryl was still keeping himself distant from the rest of us, but this was a side of him that I'd never seen before. He wouldn't talk to me. He wouldn't talk to anyone. He just stood against the wall next to Norman, holding his crossbow close. Was it something that I'd said or done? The only thing I could think of was my dad. I mean I know I went a bit over board with the whole situation, but I've apologised for that and my dad gets it, yet I still didn't know why he was being so distant.

"I'm freezing." Carl shuddered breaking the silence that surrounded the room. I could see his breath as he spoke. It seems like the only thing that ever starts a conversation any more.

"We can build a small fire, can't we?" Lori nodded, looking round the room and rubbing her son's shoulder. It's not a secret how the both of us feel about each other. It's been that way since the farm, but after what happened with Shane and my dad, there's a look of spite on her face every time I walk past.

I snapped out of my thoughts again as Rick nodded and looked over in Daryl's direction. Daryl nodded back and took his crossbow from his back. "I'll go for wood. Y'all stay here." He told us before walking out of the room and out of the building.

As he left, I pulled out my gun and made my way towards the door after him. "I'll go with him. Give him some back up if he needs it. Shouldn't be long." I bit my lip, glancing around the room at all the empty faces, before I made my way out after him. I had to be useful one way or another and this was my opportunity to talk to him away from the others. To find out what's going on with us.
