We spent the rest of the day together, catching up on everything that's happened whilst we'd been apart. I told him about what decisions the council had made since he'd been gone and what we'd been doing around the prison to make sure everyone was comfortable. In return he told me about all the different places he and Michonne went to, to try and find the Governor, and how each and every one of them were dead ends. It made me hope that the Governor was well and truly gone, but deep down, I knew that wasn't true.
The mext morning, I was woken up by a sudden overwhelming feeling that I was about to throw up. It was similar to the one I'd experienced when I made my way across the field to help Maggie and Glenn, only this time it was much worse and I could feel my stomach twisting into knots.
Knowing that I wouldn't be able to contain the contents of my stomach, I sat up and turned over to see that Daryl was still asleep next to me. He'd told me that, out on the road, he didn't get much sleep, and I didn't want to wake him, so I carefully climbed over him to get out of the bed and out of the cell.
As soon as I was out, I didn't so much as hesitate as I ran through and out of our cell block, down to the shower block. From there, I ran straight for the toilets where the contents of my stomach ended up in the bowl. I didn't so much as check to see if anyone else was in there because I knew, if I'd have waited any longer I wouldn't have made it.
It was another minute or two before I stopped throwing up, but I was pretty sure that was because there was nothing left in my stomach to chuck back up. It was a horrid feeling and the nausia from before continued as I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand and flushed the evidence away before falling back onto my butt.
I then sat on the ground next to the toilet for a little while longer as I waited for the burning sensation in my throat to settle. The last thing I wanted was anyone fussing over me. We had enough on our plates with the prison and we didn't need everyone constantly watching over me to make I was okay. As far as I was conerned, I was fine and this was probably just a one off thing. If it's not, I can always just go and talk to Hershal.
After a little while longer, I began making my way back to mine and Daryl's cell. By the looks of it, it was still early morning outside so I figured I'd be able to sneak back into bed before Daryl woke up. If he was, he'd only start asking a million and one questions about why I'd slipped out and sure enough he'd be able to see straight through whatever I came up with.
Then, all of a sudden, I was broken from my thoughts as I heard voices coming from ahead of me and it wasn't until I turned the corner that I saw who it was. Both Jace and Tyler were stood face to face glaring at one another. It looked like they were about to start a fight and my curiosity got the better of me. I wanted to know what was going on.
"What the hell's going on here?" I asked, stepping between both men before either of them could take a swing at the other.
Neither one of them looked at me as they stared at one another. "We could ask you the same question." Tyler snapped back, not taking his eyes off of Jace.
