He was still glaring at me as the walker stumbled closer and closer. A small part of me wanted to tell him to get away but I couldn't. I was so overcome with anger that I kept him stood there. Long enough for the walker to grab him and bite down on his neck. Norman let out an ear piercing yell as the walker chewed on his skin. He then fell to his knees and the walker turned to look at me.

For a moment I just stood still and watched the walker stumble its way towards me. I then took out my gun and pointed it straight at its head before it could get too close. With one shot, it fell to the ground. Dead.

I then turned and pointed my gun towards Norman. I wanted to. I wanted to watch the life leave his eyes, yet a part of me just wanted to end his suffereing and put him out of his misery. "In the head...Stop me from turning...Please...I don't want to become one of them." He gasped. He looked at me with pain filling his eyes. I could tell that he was struggling to breath. Suffering.

He was bit and he didn't want to turn. Begging me to end it. He didn't deserve it. I wanted to see him in as much pain as I could so I placed my gun back into my belt and I saw the tears build in his eyes. "Lily." He pleaded.

"No!" I yelled. "After everything you've caused, you deserve to suffer. You deserve to become one of them. Things could've been different for you if you didn't lie. If you didn't threaten. If you didn't come onto me." I continued looking him straight in his eyes. "You chose this life."

"Lily...Please...I'm sorry...Don't let me turn...It's not human...It's not like you." He gasped.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Youre not human. Not anymore." I spat down at him before I started to walk back towards the camp. His voice echoing behind me. I couldn't care less.

I turned back one last time and watched as he drew his last breath before he then slowly fell face first into the ground. It was like something inside me changed. Unlike Shane, I didn't feel guilty about letting him get killed. Maybe it was because this time I knew what the consequences were. This time I knew what I was doing. I had nothing else to lose. This world wasn't what it once was and I knew that more than anyone.

No matter how much I tried, I couldn't head back to the camp so I sat down in the grass again and waited. I waited until he turned. Waited to see his face. Luckily enough for me, I didn't have to wait long until the grass around him began to move and the growls made their way over to me.

I watched as he stumbled to his feet and started to growl. I then stood up placing my gun in my belt and pulling out my knife. He was going to get his wish but not he way he wanted.

I ran forward pushing his walkerfied corpse towards the ground and stabbing the knife into his chest. "This is for Peri and Briana!" I yelled stabbing the knife into his chest again. "And this one is for my dad." I swung it down again. "This one is for everyone back at camp." I swung it down one last time, sending the blade through his skull, stopping the growls. "And that one, that's for what you did to me. Asshole."

The walkerfied version of Norman lay on the ground, lifeless. His eyes a dull grey colour and his blood all over me. I'd done it again. I'd killed someone, but a part of me enjoyed it as the anger left my body. This was the new me. Adapting to the ever changing world that we live in.

I took one last look at Norman before I spat down at his restless corpse and collected his weapons before I started to head back towards the camp. I'd have a lot of questions to answer and it wasn't like I could hide it with the blood all over me. I had to tell the truth. Norman's dead because I killed him. I allowed the walker to bite his skin. I let him turn.

As I got closer I could see Lori, Carl, Carol and Beth all stood around the small burnt out fire. I put my knife back into my belt and walked over as Beth came running over to me and hugged me. "Where did you go? Everyone went out looking for you. Tdog said he talked to you yesterday. He thought you went to find someone." She questioned. I think in the moment she didn't notice the blood on me.
