I glanced behind and it looked as if the herd from back at the farm had somehow caught up with us. But how? It's not like they have the ability to track. The just clulessly wonder and then kill if something gets too close.

"Rick, time to go!" Daryl called as he continued pulling me down the road with him.

"Alright, lets keep moving." I heard Rick say as he nodded and turned around to the others, once he'd seen the masses of walkers heading down the road towards us.

Everyone began scrambling into the cars. Everyone apart from Hershal, Norman and my dad. "Daryl wait." I stopped and pulled my arm from his grasp where I turned to look at the three men. I'd really made a mark on my dad's face and I wish it had never happened but this wasn't the time for standing around. "What are you doing?" I looked directly at Hershal. "Get in the car now!"

"We can't just leave them!" Hershal argued.

"Hershal we don't have time for this. Just get in the car. We can deal with this later." I begged. As much as I didn't want them to come with, us I had to. Not only was Hershal treating my dad's swollen eye, I knew he wasn't going to leave his old friend behind.

"Lily!" Daryl called over. He was now sat on his bike waiting and everyone else was already in the cars.

"Hershal please." I begged again looking directly at him.

Hershal stood there a second loner before he nodded. I then waited as he ushered both my dad and Norman into the car. Once I was sure they were in, I made my way over to Daryl just as the walkers reached the first vehicle. We had to go. We couldn't afford to wait anymore.

As soon as I was on the bike, Daryl passed me his crossbow and I swung it over my shoulder. We then set off with everyone else following on behind. Our only problem now was, were were we supposed to go?

We were out on the road with the freezing winter months to look forward to. Not only that but we didn't know if the herd would catch us up again. We had no protection out here and to make matters worse, Lori's going to start showing as her pregnancy developes. She's going to need all of us there for her but now we had Norman and my dad with us.

As I thought about it tightened my grip around Daryl's waist and sighed a deep sigh, resting my head on his back. I guess after unloading my emotional baggage on him and hearing his story, I did feel guilty about what I did to my dad. I had it lucky compared to what Daryl and his brother had growing up. I just don't know what came over me. Something like that wouldn't have bothered me before, so why should it now? Why did I get so angry about something so small?

It wasn't too long before we passed the still burning station and continued down the road a while. I'm just glad it was me in there and not Carl. I mean, what would I have done if it was the other way round? What if we'd both been killed in the explosion?

After at least another hour Daryl pulled up next to a large house where he kicked the stand down and looked over towards the others. They were all pulling up close behind, just to the side of the road, in front of the house.

Rick was the first to make his way over to us. "We can try stay here for the night, see how safe it is." He stopped and placed his hand on his hip and his other on his gun, looking around. I've noticed he's been standing like this a lot recently and seems to be his go to stance when talking. "We'll keep someone on watch."

"We need to find a place we can stay and fortify. Either that or we need to find another vehicle." I suggested as Rick finished speaking, looking between both him and Daryl. The both of them nodded as our attention then turned to everyone else who'd begun to get out of the vehicles.
