Suprisingly, Merle stayed quiet through out our journey. After what happened with him losing his temper and seeing that Daryl was willing to leave him, something hit him. It was like he had a sudden burst of realisation. I didn't know how long it would last though. I had a feeling that when we got back to the prison things we're gonna get ugly.

"Hey." Tyler called from bedides me.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him. "Hey." I replied bluntly.

"Look, I'm sorry I left you. After what happened, I just drove. Bumped into Merle. He was in a pretty bad state and then we found the town. Stayed with them for a month or two before the Governor told us that he found someone, that they stole a whole load of guns and ammo before jumping the wall. I would've never thought it'd be you." He apologised ending with a chuckle.

I sighed and looked ahead. I wasn't playing to his games. "Yeah, you left me with people we'd just met. I didn't know them. They didn't know me. They could've been psychopaths for all I knew. Turns out, they really were only looking for that little girl. It's because of us that she's dead. I was lucky that they took me in. Been with them ever since." I snapped. "As for Woodbury, I had no intentions of staying in that town which is why I left. Took the guns and ran."

He shook his head and smiled. "This group toughened you up then?"

I snarled at him and the smile disappeared from his face. "Why don't you leave her alone." Daryl snapped seeing how pissed I was getting with him.

"Sorry, just trying to make conversation-" He huffed raising his hands.

"Yeah, well don't." I interrupted him.

After that, we all stayed quiet and continued walking. Tyler slowed down to walk behind with Merle and me and Daryl walked in front of them. I couldn't hide the hatred I had for Tyler and I think they all could see it.

"How are we going to make this work." I whispered to Daryl whilst looking back at Tyler and Merle.

He looked at them and shrugged his shoulders. "The others are gonna have to deal with it." Daryl whispered back.

"You won't leave again will you?" I asked worriedly.

He shook his head. "Na. I'm staying."

"Good." I smiled. "I missed you, you know?. Ever since that moment I ended us. It's not been the same. I convinced myself that it would take time but when you found me in that cell. I thought I was dead but I couldn't have wished for anyone else to have been standing there."

I saw a smile appear on his face. "You know, Briana came up to me when you were missing. Locked away in that cell. She said you wanted to tell her something."

I nodded my head. "Yeah. Maggie's telling her for me. Just in case we didnt make it back." I stopped for a moment debating whether to tell him. Why the hell not? "That prisoner, Jace. He's her brother. It's sort of one of the reasons I didn't want the prisoners being thrown out. It wasn't just about surviving. It was doing what was right."

Daryl smirked and shook his head. "Why do you never say anythin'?" He chuckled. "It would make life so much easier." He joked.

"Family's important now. Briana didn't even know he's alive." I told him. "I wanted to tell-"

"Did you say Briana?" Tyler asked from behind. We stopped and turned around to face him.

"Yeah. I found her." I replied. "No thanks to you."

"What about Peri, your Dad, Norman?" He continued hopefully.

I looked at Daryl as Tyler said Norman's name. Just the thought of him made me sick. "My dad and Briana are both back at the prison." I stopped. Tyler looked at me to go on. "Peri didn't make it. Briana said she got bit and...and I killed Norman."

Tyler's face dropped. "W...Wh...Why?" He stuttered. "Why did you kill him?" He raised his voice.

"Why did I kill him?" I snapped. "Why do you even care? You left me."

"I wanna know why you did it. He was your neighbour." Tyler snapped back. "You know how me and him got on."

"Fine. You wanna know why I killed him? Here's why. To start off he left my best friend and her sister in the middle of no where with no supplies to die. Secondly, he made up shit about my dad which caused a few problems. He almost killed me in an explosion knowing exactly what he was doing. And...he tried to...he tried to rape me...Twice." I swallowed down the lump in my throat. "That's why I killed him. He was dangerous. He wasn't the man I grew up with. And you weren't there. So don't pretend that you know shit!" I turned and stormed off towards the prison on my own.

"Leave it." I heard Daryl say to him. Just the mention of his name makes my skin crawl. "Lily!" I heard Daryl call from behind. I stopped and let him catch up. "You alright?"

I nodded my head slightly, calming myself down. Merle and Tyler then jogged to catch us up. "You got a feisty one here little brother." Merle laughed.

"Shut up bro!" Daryl yelled back.

"Let's just get back and get on wi-" I was stopped by the masses of gun fire that echoed through the trees. It sounded like it was coming from the prison.

I turned to Daryl. "Is that coming from the prison?" I asked.

Daryl shrugged his shoulders but pulled his crossbow from his back and started running towards the prison. I was close behind him with my knife in one hand and my gun in the other. Even Merle and Tyler were running after us, snapping large branches off of the trees to use as make shift weapons.

"What the hell's going on!" Tyler shouted from behind. Both Daryl and I ignored him and kept running.

The guard tower soon came into view after a couple minutes and I ran as fast as my legs would carry me. I then stopped as we reached the tree line to see a car parked over by the gates and another in the field. It looked like it had drove straight through. That's when I saw him. The Governor was stood next to the parked car firing his gun into the air.

I was just about to start shooting bullets his way when the back of the truck in the field opened to where walkers than began stumbling out. It wasn't until then that I noticed someone was laying down in the field. It was Hershal, but then someone else caught my eye. It was Rick. He was outside the fences being crowded by walkers.

Before I could say or do anything, Merle and Tyler both pushed passed me and ran towards Rick. I then ran on after them with Daryl, helping to cover them. The whole time keeping my eye on Hershal. Once we'd helped Rick we had to get Hershal out of there before the walkers could get to him. It was also at that moment that the Governor, being the coward he is, got back into his car and began to drive away. One of ours returning as he did. Who the hell had gone out?

I tried not to think about it to much as I turned my attention back to Rick as Daryl, Tyler, Merle and I cleared the walkers that were around us. I then watched as Glenn got out of the car and he and Michonne helped Hershal out of the field and into the courtyard. It was then that I let out a slight sigh of relief.

I then looked over at Rick and he nodded. I could tell that he was exhausted but glad we were back. I was too. He then turned to Daryl and did the same. Merle and Tyler on the other hand just laughed down at the dead walkers scattered on the ground. Rick just snarled at the both of them.

The field that we had cleared was overrun again and our gates had been broken down. It was as clear as day that Rick was pissed. "Come on." He growled.

We didn't argue as we all followed on behind him round to the main gates. We then ran through the field dodging and killing walkers that got to close along the way. It was then that Carl ooened the gate to the courtyard for us and we slipped through.

"What the hell are they doing here?" Glenn yelled and pointed his gun at Merle and Tyler after getting out the car.

Rick stepped in front and put his hands out. "Calm down. I hate to say it but they just saved my life." Rick spat. "We'll lock them in the cell block for now, until we can find something to do with them. We'll sort it in the morning, once we've all had some rest."

I then saw Briana with Judith in her arms walking out of the cell block with my dad and Jace. Axel's body lay on the ground with a bullet through his head and everyone else was looking at us. We all knew what this meant. This is going to lead to war. Us vs Woodbury.
