We all sat around the camp fire as the sky slowly began to get dark. Well, all of us except for Rick and Daryl. They were just wondering the field making sure nothing got in, not that anything would as the fences were pretty secure. That didn't stop them though, but sooner or later they'd have to come back over and have something to eat as Tdog had cooked up the squirrels we'd managed to catch and we all dug in. It wasn't much but it's something to feed our growling stomachs.

As I ate, savouring every last bite, I looked around. Daryl was stood on top of the turned over bus with his crossbow to hand and Rick was walking round the perimeter. It had to have been his third, fourth or maybe even fith time around. I guess he just wants us all to be safe, but above it all, I couldn't help but stare at Daryl. He looked very hansom and muscular in the darkness and after our conversation I couldn't help but wonder what would've happened if we'd never argued in the first place. Maybe its just we got together to quickly back on the farm, but who knows. The only task now, is to move forward and forget it ever happened,  though I wasn't sure I could.

"Mmm. Just like mom used to make." Glenn chuckled and snapped me from my thoughts. He was sat holding a bone before he threw it into the field somewhere. I couldn't help but laugh as everyone else did as Glenn turned back round to face us. It was something I hadn't heard in a while and it was nice.

After a little while longer we all went quiet again and Tdog plaited up the remainder of the squirrel for both Rick and Daryl, for when they came back over. As he did I looked over at the pile of bodies next to the fence. They needed disposing of before they could give off any more of a horrid stench.

"Maybe we could move all of the bodies. Burn them?" I suggested. We needed to get rid of them somehow.

Everyone looked over at me, carefully thinking about what I'd just said. I didn't want to be a buzz kill but it wasn't like we could bury every one of them. Then I spotted Tdog nodding. "We need to keep them away from that water. Now if we can dig a canal under the fence, we'll have plenty of fresh water."

"The soil is good. We could plant some seeds. Grow some tomatoes, cucumbers, soybeans." Hershal added. It seemed like everyone agreed with me. Once the walkers were clear we'd have enough room to start planting and making this place our own. Hershal then looked up and looked over towards the fences. "That's his third time around." He pointed towards Rick. "If there was any part of it compromised, he'd have found it by now."

Everyone sat quietly for a couple of seconds, glancing over at Rick and enjoying what they were eating. "This'll be a good place to have the baby. Safe." Beth turned to Lori. Lori turned her nose up and then smiled. Beth was sweet, and she was right, whether Lori liked it or not. It wasn't like we could just pop along to a hospital.

I then watched as Carol picked up one of the extra plates of food and walk off in the direction of the turned over bus, towards Daryl. I took no notice to what the rest of the group had started talking about as my eyes stayed fixed on Carol. I don't know why her walking over to him bothered me, it just did.

I continued watching as she walked around to the back of the bus, placed the food on the top and started to climb up. Daryl put out his hand out and helped her up. Carol then handed Daryl the squirrel and they started talking. A part of me wished it was me standing with him, but another part of me just wanted to move on.

"Lily." Someone laughed. I quickly turned my head back towards the group. Everyone was looking over in my direction and they knew I was looking over at Daryl.

"Sorry, what?" I asked, a little embarrassed. Everyone just started to chuckle.

"I was just telling everyone about our trip to Greece." My dad laughed. I just rolled my eyes as I knew what story he was going to tell next. He tells the same one every time we meet new people and I never get used to the embarrassment. "How old were you?" He asked, as if he couldn't remember.
