Daryl's pov

Once Lily and I had finished putting up the tent, I made my way up to the house to catch up with Rick, leaving her to put the rest of our stuff inside. I wanted to talk to him about this plan.

In honor of Dale, just like before, we were gonna let Randall go. Only this time, he wanted me with him instead of Shane and I can't say I blame him. Especially after what happened the last time. It was no secret what went down between them and people had to be blind not to see it.

Once inside, I entered the living room, watching as everyone unpacked their things. Just the thought of being squashed in here with so many people set my teeth on edge. I was better out there anyway. I'd feel way to claustrophobic inside. Not only that but me, Lily and Shane under one roof was never gonna work.

"Daryl." Rick said from behind. I turned around and sure enough he was stood behind me holding a map. "Lets go outside."

"Alright." I nodded and followed him back out.

We walked round to the side porch where Rick then rested the map on the banister. Lily now no where to be seen. I'd only left her a few minutes ago and in that time she'd gone, but after what happened last time, I doubt she would've gone far without saying something to someone.

"I was thinking we take him out to Senoia. Hour there, hour back, give or take." Rick told me, drawing my attention back to him. "We may lose the light, but we'll be half way home by then."

It was a good plan and I nodded. The sooner we do this, the better. "This little pain in the ass will be a distant memory. Good riddance."

Rick agreed. "Carol's putting together some provisions for him. Enough to last him a few days." Rick then stopped and I saw his shoulders slump as he glanced up at me. "That thing you did last night-"

"Ain't no reason you should do all the heavy lifting." I interrupted. I knew what he was talking about. Dale meant a lot to us all and Rick didn't have the strength to do it. I did what anyone would do in that situation. I couldn't let him suffer. Him or Dale.

"So are you good with all this?" He asked as he folded up the map.

"I don't see you and I trading haymakers on the side of the road. Nobody'd win that fight." I joked and Rick scoffed. It was settled. We were doing it today. "I'm gonna go take a piss." I then said and made my way into the house, up the stairs and into the bathroom.

I did what I needed to and made my way back out to find Rick heading towards the barn. Our supplies sitting on the porch. "Daryl, sir." Beth called, approached me. What was with the sir? "Rick told me to tell you he won't be long. He just has something he needs taking care of."

"Alright. Thanks." I nodded and she joyfully skipped over to Jimmy, who was hammering some boards into the windows. I have to say after what she did, she seems a different person now. She's just getting on with her life, which was good. I know Lily cares a lot for her and her family, and it's understandable why.

As she began her work, I started moving our supplies into the bed of the truck, placing a few extra arrows next to them as I couldn't fit them in my bow. My hope being that I wouldn't have to use them.

It wasn't too long before I spotted Rick walking back up from the barn. "You ready?" He called over and Tdog joined us by the truck.

"Yeah." I nodded and placed my crossbow over my shoulder as he stopped next to me.

"I'll get the package." Tdog offered and began walking towards the shed.

"Thanks." Rick nodded and turned to me. "We'll just tie him up in the back. He won't be able to see or hear anything. We'll see if he gets out."
