I stood frozen to the spot and looked over at Daryl before turning back to Glenn. He being more shocked than I was as to finding out his brother was alive.

"You saw him?" I finally asked, feeling the rage bein to build up inside me. Daryl had the same expression.

"Face to face." Glenn gasped. "They threw a walker at me. They were gonna execute us."

Daryl then stepped forward in shock. Shock wasn't even the right word. "S-So my brother's this governor?" He asked.

"No, he's somebody else. Your brother and friend are his lieutenants or something." Maggie replied.

"Does he know I'm still with you?" Daryl questioned worridly.

"He does now. But Tyler doesn't know." Glenn nodded before he then turned to Rick. "Rick, I'm sorry. We told him where the prison was. We couldn't hold out."

Rick then moved from the window and I took his spot. "Don't. No need to apologise." He said and began pacing.

There were people all still in the streets and Maggie continued tending to Glenn as Oscar hovered around behind them. Daryl on the other hand didn't move. His expression didn't change and I got a feeling what ever he was planning wasn't going to be good.

"They're gonna be looking for us." Maggie broke the silence that had settled. Fear printed in her words.

"We have to go back. Can you walk?" Rick turned to Glenn. "We got a car a few miles out." Glenn nodded and Maggie helped him to his feet. "All right."

"Hey, if Merle's around, I need to see him. What about Tyler?" Darly spoke over the top of us all and looked in my direction.

"Daryl not now. We're in hostile territory." I argued wih him. "Tyler can stay here for all I care. He left me. We need to get back."

"Merle's my brother. I ain't-"

"Look at what he did! We gotta get out of here now." I interrupted and pointed towards Glenn.

"Maybe I can talk to him. Maybe I can work something out." Daryl protested. Why'd he have to be such a stubborn ass hole?

By this point everyone was looking at us. "No, no, no. You're not thinking straight. Look, no matter what they say, they're hurt." I turned to look at Glenn and Maggie. "Glenn can barely walk. How are we gonna make it out if we get overrun by walkers and the Governor catches up to us?" I stopped and took a breath. "I think I know enough about him to know he's not gonna give up until he has our blood. Hell, if he catches me here after I stole from him, what do you think he'd do? We need you to get out of here...I need you. Are you with me? I...I can't do this alone."

That was all he needed to hear. Daryl nodded his head and looked me dead in the eyes. Before I even knew what was happening, he closed the gap between us and kissed me. More passionately that ever before.

I froze for a second not knowing what to do, but I then soon relaxed into the kiss and enjoyed the feeling of his touch. It wasn't until now that I realised how much I missed this. I thought I could do things alone after what happened between us. But, there was always that one space inside me that was empty. It was the thing that kept me going. I'd been fighting all these months to try and find something to fill it, and I'd finally found it.

When we seperated I turned round to see everyone looking back at us. All with smiles on their faces. I couldn't help but go red with embarrassment. Daryl was the same but I think a part of us both didn't really care. We had each other and all we had to do now was get back to the rest of our family.

After another second or two, we all got ourselves ready and Rick slowly opened the door. That was where Daryl took out another flash bang and some smoke bombs. "On three. Stay tight. One, two, three." Rick counted and pushed the door opened fully for Daryl to throw a the cans out. He then threw another so the smoke was thick.
