"So, how was the meeting with President Coin?" He asked, already having a hunch what it was about.
"Well, she first thanked me, actually, about warning you about the Capitol's attack, and then she..." Lea hesitated.
Finnick ran a hand through his hair and looked away. "Coin told you about the Star Squad, didn't she?"
Lea nodded. "She asked me to join. I said yes."
Finnick let out a heavy breath and leaned against the wall. "I figured she would. But I was hoping... I don't know. Maybe you'd get a different role. Something safer."
"She said it was up to me," Lea replied. "And I chose it."
"I know you did. And I get it, believe me, I do," he said, finally meeting her gaze. "But that doesn't mean I like it."
Lea walked over to him and took his hand. "Finn, we already talked about this. You're already on the squad. I don't want to be sitting here, waiting and wondering if you're okay. If you're going to make it back."
"I know, I know," Finnick sighed.
"We will survive this together, Finn," Lea said, giving him a soft smile.
"You are not allowed to die, okay?" Finnick said.
"You neither," Lea replied.
"We will train together to make sure you are ready," Finnick told her.
"Of course, starting tomorrow we will train," Lea reassured him.
"Oh yeah, and she also wants me in one of the propos, to use the whole 'granddaughter of Snow' thing to our advantage," Lea added with a sigh.
Finnick's jaw tightened slightly, but he nodded. "They'll try whatever they can to win this war. But if it helps turn the tide, then maybe it's worth it."
"Yeah, maybe." She looked around the room again, letting the quiet settle between them for a moment.
Lea then continued to scan the room with curious eyes, taking in the little details that made it feel just a little less sterile than the rest of District 13. She wandered over to the bed and slowly sat down, bouncing a little to test it.
"These are quite comfortable, I must say," she said, a playful grin on her face
Finnick's eyes lit up instantly, and that signature smirk of his curved across his lips. "Is that so?" he said as he walked over to the bed, arms crossed loosely over his chest. "Good to know. We can use it."

Lea raised an eyebrow, her grin widening. "Need it for sleeping, you mean?"
"Oh, absolutely," Finnick replied, his tone teasing as he sat beside her. "Eight hours a night. Nothing but rest."
"Mm, sure," Lea said, giving him a teasing look. "You are a liar, Odair."
He laughed, leaning in a little closer, slowly hovering over her. "Can you blame me? I've missed you, Lea. Every single part of you," He said as he gets fully on top of her, his weight pressing her into the matrass.
She softened then, the playful edge fading into something more tender. "I missed you, too, Finn. More than you know."
He then leans down and kisses her. She doesn't hesitate for one second and immediately kisses him back.
The kiss slowly turns more passionate, and Finnick grabs her face, kissing her like a man possessed.
He then starts to unzip the jumpsuit she is wearing, slowly taking it off her body, throwing it onto the floor next to their bed. Lea then starts to unzip Finnick's bodysuit, and he assists her, taking it off and throwing it onto the floor next to hers.
