March.

"Whoa..." Kai gasped when his father let go of his hand. He was brought into the future to see why these trainings were so important.

His father wasn't lying. He saw them standing on a frozen world. The sky was a crystal clear blue against the white sun. Snow and ice made it look like a winter wonderland. Athens, Georgia wasn't the small paradise of flora and fauna but of glittering icicles and glass sculptures.

What would have been a gorgeous sight, became ugly when they peered below the surface. Kai saw Bahiyyih "sleeping" in a lake with a doe in her arms. She looked like she was cast in resin. A beautiful art piece if you ignore the dead beings inside.

Lea was found in a bed of dried black poppies. One was tucked perfectly into her hair while she laid on her back. In her hands was a small bouquet containing four flowers. One for each of their birth months. The sleeping princess would never wake because the world wouldn't heal until it was too late.

Lastly, Kai was shown his mother atop of Mount Everest. She was wearing a white dress made of swan feathers adorned with a pair of arctic white fox boots. Her eyes were closed. A few tears were crystalized to her cheeks. In her hands was a note to her son.

All I asked for was more time. Something I was robbed of. As I sit upon this peak, overlooking all of my failures, I can only regret one thing. My failure to fight for you. That alone is greater than the death of this world. Death is apart of the cycle of life. This world will awaken once more and I with it. But, sweet Kai, I lost so much time away from you because I didn't fight hard enough. You became a man. You fell in love. You have three beautiful children and I missed it all. I'm sorry. When I gain the necessary strength to rise from my slumber, I vow a commitment to our winter. -your mother

"Do you now see why I'm doing this?"

"Yeah..." Kai stared out of his frosted window to watch the sunrise. "Who do I marry dad?"

"I think you know."

"And if I break time, I'm assuming that'll change?"

"I'm not saying that."

"But it could and probably will happen." Kai looked towards his father with sadness in his eyes. "Do you think mom will forgive you when it's all over? Do you think she will understand what you did and why you did it? Do you think she'll take you back?"

"... I hope so kid."

Yeonjun parked at the local bookstore, half hoping his love was inside. Taehyun put his hand on his shoulder as a silent way of calming him down.

Soobin did the same from the back seat. "Don't get your hopes up. We could be wrong. We're here for you though."

Beomgyu leaned forward to hug his neck. "I bet he is here! I can feel it!"

Yeonjun allowed himself a small smile. "Thanks guys. Now get off!"

The boys laughed to themselves as they got out of the car. Yeonjun practically ran to the doors though he found himself unable to step inside. Soobin offered to go first to which the oldest accepted. He didn't bother to look around. Instead, he went straight towards the counter to ask the elderly gentlemen if he knows who Kai Huening is.

The old man looked confused. "You guys friends of his?"

"We are."

"I've never seen ya around here!"

Yeonjun gently said "I'm his boyfriend. I was just wondering if you've seen him."

"Boyfriend eh? I always knew that kid was a little fruitty."
