🦄Tyunning- Exceptional Blood

Sorry, still couldn't think of an original idea for a new tyunning story so this is just a page from my newest book.👇👇

A bottle of blood, a loaded gun and
thorough list of abandoned locations
in the country, were the three things
Taehyun placed on the passenger seat of
his car. Kai usually sat by his side on their ride alongs. Now, all he had of his best friend was a bottle of his blood. The GPS was loaded to the first location on the list, an abandoned farmhouse, then he took off.

One thing he never understood about Kai was why vampires were so attracted to his blood specifically. All blood did the
job but in an experiment where captured vampires were given 10 blood samples to choose from, every single one of them chose Kai's first.

Soobin in particular was the worst. He
had to be kept away from Kai for his best friend's safety. The day he learned that was perhaps the closest Kai had ever been to being bitten before Beomgyu. A large scar ran across Taehyun's back from protecting him.

All experiments were done at night after
everyone else had left. Soobin was the
only vampire down in the basement
at the time. Taehyun was sitting at the
security desk while doing paperwork for
other cases. Kai sat down next to him in
a long dark green trenchcoat and handed him his favorite sandwich. "Here. Eat something. Thanks for the coat by the way."

Taehyun took a bite and grinned. "You're
welcome. Figured you could use a proper coat besides your uniform."

"I have other coats!"

"Your lab coat doesn't count."

Kai laughed to himself as he placed the
jacket on the back of the chair. "Is it the
same one you have?"

"Yeah. Just dark green instead of khaki."

"Mingyu is going to make fun of us again."

"He can go suck a dick."

"Last time you said that to him, he told
you to suck mine!"

Taehyun winked as he took another bite
of his sandwich. "I'd do a good job."

"Yeah? Come here then baby." Their game of chicken started. It always
ended the same way. Kai would initiate
but would end up pulling away first.
That's exactly what happened again as the two laughed about it.

Taehyun joked "coward."

Kai looked up at the monitor to see Soobin crouched in the corner. "Is it just me or does he seem to be affected by my blood more than the others?"

"They all go feral over you Kai."

"I know but he's... different. They all tried to resist when I was baiting them but he didn't. It's like he can't help himself."

"He's a fucking animal. Better dead than
alive for all I care. You're the perfect baby faced prey."

Kai rolled his sleeves up then put his lab
coat on. "Hold on. I'll show you what I
mean."

Taehyun finished off his sandwich and
then followed the younger out to his lab.
In a fridge, was containers of 25 different samples of blood. Kai grabbed 9 at random and placed them in a cooler. The last sample was a vial of his own blood. One by one, the labels were tossed into the trash. Kai explained "the stickers act like a stamp. Invisible ink is placed onto the vials so I know which is which but the vampires don't. I'm going to explain that they can have whichever one they want but they only get one."

"I've seen this before. They always choose yours."

"But watch Soobin's reaction. You'll notice it's a bit different."

Taehyun was intrigued on his way back
to the security room. He leaned over the
desk to monitor it intensely.

Kai knocked on the door to Soobin's cell.
"Hi Soobin. You know the drill right?" The lid to the cooler was propped open with the door.

Soobin's eyes enlarged as he stood up. One whiff of the air was all he needed for his fangs to drop. "It's the last one. I WANT the last one."

Taehyun couldn't believe it. Every other
vampire needed to smell the samples first. Soobin just knew. The way the vampire was fixated on that vial sent his "danger" signals on fire. His gun was clutched in his hand. If the situation became worse, he was prepared to use it.

Kai tossed the vial over.

Soobin caught it then ripped the stopper
out. The sweet red liquid poured down
his throat like a shot of vodka. "God, you
taste so fucking good Kai." His fingers
swiped the missed drops on his bottom
lip. He then slowly licked it off while
staring the human down. "You know
something? I could probably pick you
out in a crowd of a thousand. I could pick you out in the middle of a landfill. You're so-" Kai suddenly found himself with a hand tightly around his throat. Soobin's fangs gleamed in his smile. He growled "- exceptional. I could kill you. You could also be one of us. Both are a fucking waste of your blood. So what should I do with you Huening?"

Kai shakily reached for the knife in
his pocket. The grip around his throat
became tighter by the second. His lungs
felt as if they were being squeezed of life. His face was a sharp red that was quickly shading to deep purple.

Soobin licked the throbbing vein in Kai's
jaw. "Yeonjun hasn't had your little test
has he?" The lack of response satisfied
him. "He just doesn't understand what
he's missing out on. It's okay. You're too
good to share."

Freezing cold lips brushed the surface
of Kai's neck. Just before he was bitten,
a gunshot shook the hall. His neck was
released from Soobin's grip. He started
heavily coughing to regain his breath.
Taehyun shot the vampire's wrist.

Soobin's lust instantly turned to fury. He
lunged at Taehyun a second before he was shot again.

Taehyun was violently thrown against
the cell wall. Electricity seared his back.
He screamed in pain as he fell to the
floor. Soobin fell in the same instance
when Taehyun's bullet went through
his throat. When he came to his feet, he
saw Kai shoot a bullet into the back of
the vampire's head. His best friend then
threw his arm around his shoulder. All he could say was "thanks." The two looked at the unconscious Choi on the ground. "You weren't kidding. I've never seen him act like that before."

Kai scoffed. "Yeah.. they're human until
they're not."

With that thought in mind, Taehyun
pulled up to the abandoned farmhouse
with the vial tightly in hand. He took
a moment to theorize one thing. What
would happen if Kai smelled his own
blood?
