A singular butterfly started it all. Yeonjun's greatest mystery.

It was small and orange with black webbing that made the wings look like stained glass in the sunlight. That stunning little butterfly landed on the edge of the book Kai was reading. He held his finger out as his eyes lit up. "You're gorgeous!"

Yeonjun walked by and assumed he was talking about him. His headphones came off. He then winked at the brunette sitting in the grass. "Thanks! You're not so bad yourself."

The butterfly slowly flapped it's wings on the tip of Kai's finger. He didn't even notice the person talking to him. He just assumed that guy was talking to someone else. "Wow. Where were you going beautiful?"

Yeonjun just stared at the way that guy was so fixated on the butterfly. He looked ethereal. He was also impressed by the simple fact that the butterfly was still on his finger. "Hey. You with the bug! What's your name?"

Kai looked up to see who was talking to him. The butterfly flew off from the sudden movement. He frowned as he watched it fly away. "Kai." His eyes wandered towards the stranger. Usually he thought pink hair looked hideous on guys but not him. His chubby cheeks also gave him a youthful glow. When the guy smiled at him, he felt blood rush to his ears. "I'm Kai. What's your name?"

"Yeonjun. Whatcha reading?"

"The Glass Castle. It's for my English class." It really wasn't but he didn't want Yeonjun to assume he was a dork. Kai had an expansive library at his house. Half of the books in it, he hadn't even read yet. Books were a compulsion. He loved getting lost in different worlds. If an author could make him truly feel something, he was their fan for life.

"Oh, that's cool. I gotta go see my friends but it was nice meeting you Kai!"

"Yeah, see ya." Kai went back to reading.

Yeonjun walked a little then stopped in his tracks. He turned around to see a different butterfly on the edge of Kai's book. This one was a light blue with a white circle on the bottom of each wing. It fluttered towards the tip of Kai's nose. Yeonjun watched him giggle as the little thing landed on the tip of it. "Cute." After a bit, he felt weird just standing and watching the guy. It was time to meet his friends anyways. He took one last look at his interest then left.

Kai was staring cross eyed at the blue beauty on the tip of his nose. He focused carefully on the wings because the face of it looked kinda creepy. "You're prettier than the last one! Where are your friends little one?" The book quietly closed in his hands. "Were you trying to find them?" He jokingly puckered his lips in an attempt to kiss it. Naturally, it flew away. "Rejected by a butterfly. That's a first." Kai went back to reading after that. The bugs were nice company but their distractive nature was annoying. He just wanted to read.

Yeonjun waved to his friends when he saw them at the ice cream shop. "Hey guys!"

"Hey man. You just missed it! A butterfly landed on my head!" Soobin showed him the photo Beomgyu took of him.

"That's a moth..."

"Moth, butterfly, same fucking thing."

"Two REAL ones landed on some guy I just met. They must really like this area."

Taehyun asked "Kai right?"

"How'd you know?"

"I talked to him earlier. He had two in his hair. One blue, one orange. He said he's like a magnet to them and doesn't know why."

"Odd."

Beomgyu was bored. "Anyways, you're paying this time because you're late!"

"Sure. Whatever."
