Alexis's POV

Scott, Liam, Mason and Corey are all staring at the black spot on the ceiling that was formed last night by the Ghost Rider. "That's how he got in?" Corey asks. "What is it?" Liam asks as I walk down the stairs.

I walk over to them and glance up at the ceiling. "It's a point of impact from a lightning strike." I say and Mason nods in agreement. "Usually you find charred spots like that on the ground after a violent thunderstorm." He says.

"That's how the Ghost Rider got in. He rode the lightning." I say making Liam, Scott and Corey look at me with wide eyes as I drop my bag in the couch. "If they can use lightning to pass the mountain ash..." Liam trails off as he turns to Scott. "No place is safe." Scott finishes.

"What about the others? It's my fault they're marked." Corey says worriedly making us all look at him. "We'll figure out a way to protect them." I tell him and Scott nods with a determined look on his face.

"All of them."

"It's a relic." Lydia says as I hold out Jake Sullivan's ID to Scott and Malia as we stand in the hallway. "What's a relic?" Malia asks. "An object with a fixed association to the past. Jake's ID was left behind after he was taken and Gwen found her sisters bracelet on her bathroom floor." I explain but Malia still looks confused.

"How can someone be erased and still leave something behind?" She questions and Lydia sighs slightly. "Conservation of mass. The total mass of any isolated system remains constant." She explains as realisation crosses over Scott's face.

"So, even the Ghost Riders have a weakness?" He says and I nod. "A relic could prove that Stiles existed." I say making Scott look hopeful. "And we could bring him back."

I stand in front of Noah at the station and show him the ID, explaining everything to him and an idea I had. "You wanna search my house?" He asks looking at me like I'm slightly crazy as I nod. "People are leaving things behind. So if Stiles left anything-"

"Why would it be there?" He asks cutting me off making me sigh. "You can't just erase people. They leave things behind." I say. Noah stares at me for a moment before sighing and setting down the ID card.

"I couldn't sleep last night so...I figured I'd do some paper work. The files were in the back of the car so I go to the garage and some junk has fallen off the shelf and I stub my toe on a baseball bat. Without thinking I yell a name." He says and I nod slightly.

"Stiles."

I slowly walk around the living room of Noah's house, looking for anything that could be a relic. Next to the TV, there are pictures of Noah and Claudia together and I look at them before being interrupted by Claudia. "Something I can do to help?" She asks making me look at her with an awkward smile.

"No. But thank you, Mrs Stilinski." I say and Claudia nods. "Well, good luck. I'll leave you to it." She says before walking away. I watch her warily as I get a weird feeling from the woman.

I sigh softly before glancing around until I look at the hall the old woman walked down the other day. I slowly walk down the hallway and over to the exact spot where the woman stopped. My eyebrows furrow a bit when my eyes land on a line in the wallpaper. I reach out to touch it when a man suddenly appears making me jump slightly.

"You didn't see it, did you?" His words echo making me look at him confused. "See what?" I ask. "It's right in front of your face." His words echo again and I turn to look at the wall before turning to the man. Only to find that he disappeared making me sigh.
