The next day, Angeldust had finally gotten a day off. He was sat on the bar top earning a glare from Husker.

"What?"

"Your mom ever tell you, tables are for glasses not asses?" Husker remarked.

"This is a bartop not a table." Angeldust corrected.

"Just get your ass off my counter." Husker rolled his eyes very annoyed with the spider. Angeldust got down and sat on the stool. Husker poured a drink and passed it to the demon.

"Don't you got anything better to do than bother me?" Asked the bar tender.

"No. I'm off today. Even if I wasn't I wouldn't call work, better." Angeldust chuckled to himself.

Husker rolled his eyes. Though he was glad that Angeldust wouldn't be coming back a beaten mess today. Does he care for the spider? They're friends right? Yeah. Angeldust is cool once you get past all the sex jokes. Husker could admit he cares for Angel like a friend. Angeldust sipped the drink Husker poured.

"Lucky me." He groaned.

"Hey!" Angeldust playfully slapped the cat's shoulder.

"No. No. In all seriousness I'm glad you won't have to deal with that guy today." Husker stated.

Angeldust didn't say anything in return, he just had a toothy grin on his face, still drinking the alcohol occasionally.

Husker downed his own bottle of booze before getting another. Angeldust eventually finished his drink and Husk poured him another, as Charlie walked by, from getting the mail.

"Hey." She said handed an envelope to Angeldust.

"What's this?" Asked the spider

"The results of your last drug test." She explained.

"Oh. Thanks I'll look at it later." Angeldust stated.

Angeldust knew he wasn't clean. But he was excited to see the difference between this one and the results from his first one. He really was trying dispite needing a fix once and a while because work is just too much sometimes, especially the pain his boss forces him to work through. However he was more interested in talking with Husker right now.

Charlie nodded and went up to her room.

"How you think you did?" Husk asked.

"Definitely not perfect. I'm just aiming for better." Angeldust stated. Husker nodded.

"You'll get there, gradually." Husker assured. "Recovery isn't linear. Don't try and force it to be."

Angeldust nodded, as Husker took another big swig of the bottle. Angeldust wouldn't admit it, but he's glad he's taken the time to get to know the bar tender. He's glad to be able to say he's got more than just Cherribomb backing him up.

Hours later, Angeldust went up to his room and looked over the results. After comparing the two drug tests, he wasn't sure what emotion he was feeling. Happiness? Confidence? Pride? Yeah that's what it was. He was proud of himself for once; something nobody has ever been of him. It wasn't a huge improvement but it was still much better. He went down to Charlie's room and knocked on her door.

Vaggy answered.

"Hey, what's up?" Vaggy asked.

"Oh, I thought you two would like to see the results." He explained, handing her the pieces of paper.

She examined it closely for a moment.

"Not bad! Good job Angel!" Vaggy gave him a fist bump.

"Let me see!" Charlie walked over to Vaggy and looked at the papers excitedly. She quickly hugged the spider, who winced as her arms touched his back that was still sore.

"I'm so proud of you Angel!" The princess stated squeezing slightly.

"Ah. Hey that's enough with the hugging." Angeldust patted her shoulders as he winced from the pressure. Charlie immediately let go.

"Sorry." Charlie apologized sincerely.

"It's fine. My back is just sore from work." Angeldust stated not going into detail. Charlie nodded and handed the papers back to Angeldust. He wasn't sure what he'd do with them, should he save them? He decided against it because he's just have more and more piling up if he did. He decided to keep the first one as a reference point though. He walked into his room, set the paper on his desk and went back downstairs.

He sat at the bar, his chest puffed with confidence.

"One celebratory drink my good man." Angeldust asked.

"That good?" Husk asked reaching for a bottle of wine and pouring some into a glass for the spider.

"I mean Vaggy and Charlie were happy about it. Not the biggest improvement but I've only really be doing coke. I was on A LOT of different drugs when I came here." Angedust stated before taking a sip of the red drink.

"Hey, that's still a step in the right direction. Good job man." Husker assured, clanking his bottle gently against Angel's glass before taking a swig.

Angeldust couldn't help the redness that appeared on his face, after hearing those words from Husker of all sinners. He immediately turned away so only half of his face was visible to the bar tender, and he sipped his drink.

Eventually Angeldust went up to his room. Husk shut down the bar and retired to his own room for the night.
