Angel woke back up at the usual time Husk was already downstairs. He loved that Husk let him sleep but he wished he woke up to the fluffy demon, still next to him.

He quickly got dressed and checked his phone.  Thirty seven missed calls from Val.

Fuckin hell he knows I don't get up early. Angel thought to himself.

Just then he got another call it was vox, he rolled his eyes and answered it. He was kinda groggy from just waking up but, he upscaled it so it seems like this call had just woke him.

"He-ello?" His voice was shaky and sounded the right amount of tired.

"We need you at the studio ASAP. You don't have to cover your full shift just an hour. Please, Tiffany called out."

"That fucking bitch is always calling out." Angel rolled his eyes.

"How quickly can you be here?"

"I just woke up, let me get ready and I'll call you when I'm on my way. You're lucky I don't have plans til later."

"I owe you. Thanks Angel." Vox said hanging up.

Angel went downstairs and strutted over to the bar.

"Hey Schnookems." He greeted.

Husk poured his usual drink and greeted him. Angel took it and sipped quite a bit of the contents at once.

"I gotta get going. Vox promised it was only for an hour. So if Val pulls any shit I'm just walking out." He stated.

"Vox? Wait, you work for the Vees?" Husk asked.

"Whiskers, you've picked me up from the tower before! How did you not know? There's a literal glowing V on it!" Angel asked before he had to go.

"That explains so much." Husk said to himself. Angel leaned over the bar to kiss husk before he had to go.

"Maybe I could help him after all." Husk didn't mean to say it outloud but he did.

Alastor and Charlie walked into the lobby discussing the next event they should host for all the hotel guests. They sat at the bar, so Husk poured them both drinks

"Husk, how do you feel about a talent show." Alastor asked.

"Will I have to participate?" Husk grumbled.

"I'll give you a raise on your paycheck, if you do."

"You pay me in booze." Husk stated, handing the Radio demon the glass and setting Charlie's before her.

"And you'll have more of it." Alastor sighed.

"Not my thing but, the others might enjoy it." Husk grumbled again.

Husk waited until they finished their conversation, to bring up his new found idea.

"Hey boss, I actually wanted to talk to you about something." Husk stated.

"What is it sourpuss?" Alastor asked.

Husk rolled his eyes at the nickname.

"I just came to the realization that, Angel works for the Vees." He started.

"Oh he does, does he?" Alastor asked. He assumed so, but it never came up in conversation so he had no way of knowing for sure.

"I know they're like your sworn enemies, and you've seen how they treat him. I think I finally found a way to pay off my debt to you."

"Charlie be a dear, and go write up your lil vision for your Talent show." Alastor sent her away not wanting her to hear about this sort of thing. He waited for her to be in the elevator before turning back to Husk.

"Go on." He instructed, setting his glass back on the counter.

"I'd just need an hour with my power, at the casino, and get Val to agree, if they lose Angel they're knocked down a peg cause he makes them the most profit, it's a win for all three of us. "

"Are you suggesting you want to Gamble for Angel's soul?" Alastor asked, taking another sip of his drink. "I thought you were over being a keeper."

"I don't really want his soul, but if it keeps him safe, it's worth it." Husk explained.

"So, you really do love him then?" Alastor asked.

Husk just nodded.

"I knew you had it in you, old man." Alastor chuckled to himself before finishing his drink.

"Fuck off. I just don't wear my heart on my sleeve, it works out better that way." Husk grumbled.

"Give me time to get this in the works. I'll get back to you." Alastor assured before teleporting away.

Angel was half way there when he called vox back.

"I'm half way there another 30 minutes." He stated.

"Are you fucking walking?" Vox asked.

"I always walk." Angel stated.

"How have you not ended up fuckin Satan knows where?" Vox asked.

"Cause most people aren't raging sex addicted control freaks, like Val."

"I'm going to pretend you didn't say that, for your sake." Vox stated.

"Good." Angel chuckled. "Immalet you go, I'll be there soon." He said before hanging up.

Thirty minutes of walking later and Angeldust arrived to the shithole he calls work.

He went to his dressing room got changed quickly and went out to the set. Val and Vox must have been fighting again cause Val looked more steamed than usual. Angel did his very best not wanting to be on Val's bad side, maybe he'd find a different punching bag today.

Of course not. There was no pleasing Valentino when he was pissed off. His anger is explosive and anyone in his way is a victim to it. Angel did the scenes he needed to get done and went back to his dressing room changing into the clothes he wore there.

"The hell do you think your doing?" Val asked, approaching the spider.

"Vox said I only had to stay for an hour. I have other shit I gotta do. Today is supposed to be my day off, or did you forget dat too?"

Valentino was livid. Angel knew better than to talk back to him, especially with that tone. He grabbed him by the neck squeezing tightly making it hard for Angel to breathe.

"Last I checked, I was your boss. Not Vox, not Velvette. Me! You listen to me and only me." Valentino yelled, before hitting Angeldust for probably the tenth time in the hour he's been there. Must be a new record.

"Tell dat, to those two then. This ain't my fuckin, problem." Angeldust stated walking out of the building anyway.

He walked to the corner where Husk was already waiting.
