Adelaine's POV
I let out a yawn as the plane taxis to the gate at Zurich Airport. It has been a gruelling 10-hour flight across the Atlantic, after alternating between trying desperately to fall asleep and watching the newest movies, including my own debut commercial movie. Sean seems tired as well, and I think he spent most of it sleeping, since it's still nighttime in Grimsborough. Well, this is our life now, and we have to get used to it.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the door is now open for deboarding. We wish you a pleasant journey in Zurich, and thank you for travelling with Swiss International Airlines." The captain announces as the long queue of passengers begin to move as they leave the plane.
As the plane began to deboard, Sean and I grabbed our large backpacks from the luggage rack, and we walked off the plane.
"Welcome to Switzerland, Sean. Ready to meet uhh... what's your relationship with my grandfather again?" I ask Sean.
"I think, Uncle. Or Grand-uncle... my brain isn't functioning right now, this flight tired me out." Sean grumbles, probably due to jet lag.
"I'm sure Auntie Alexandra will help us with dealing with jet lag. Man, I wish we didn't have to start classes tomorrow... Kelsey and Diana are lucky that September 2nd is a holiday." I reply as we turn out onto the arrivals corridor.
"The fact that the sun is still shining and seemingly receded backwards from when we took off at Grimsborough baffles me. All I want is a nice shower, and then I flop onto the bed and prepare for tomorrow." Sean continues.
"That's just how time zones work. Let's just get through immigration and baggage claim first." I reply, after which I let out another yawn.
I quickly posted on social media and texted my family about my and Sean's arrival in Switzerland, before we made it through immigration and baggage claim. As we left the baggage claim and into the arrivals hall, someone was waving at us at the arrival hall. Ah, that must be my aunt.
"Adelaine! Sean! It's nice to see you again, and welcome to Switzerland!" Auntie Alexandra says, giving both of us a handshake.
She looks a lot like my Mom with her blonde hair and green eyes, though she has a few wrinkles and grey strands in her long hair since she's a few years older than my Mom. Auntie's wearing a classy hairband and a white sweater, with some formal pants and boots to complement it.
"Guten Tag, Adelaine. You look a lot more like a young woman since I last saw you three years ago!" Margaret says, as we also shared a handshake.
Margaret is wearing a black faux-leather jacket, with a red tank top and a short black dress that shows off her features. Her brown eyes sparkled as she looked at me, with a heartwarming smile on her face.
"Thanks, Margaret. It's nice to be back in Switzerland for the first time in four years." I smile as Sean also gives the two a nice nod.
"Let's get you to the car first, and then we can start chatting! Also, probably to help you two deal with jet lag, which I can see from your expressions." Auntie Alexandra says as she gestures to us to come with her.
Margaret helped me to push the luggage out of the airport, and as we arrived at the car, she helped Auntie to put the luggage in the back compartment. Auntie Alexandra got into the car.
"Adelaine, do you want to sit in the front seat?" Auntie Alexandra asks.
"Sure, Auntie! It will be a pleasure." I smile back as I hop into the front seat, while Sean and Margaret get into the back.
