The race didn't last 10 minutes without a problem revealing itself. Riley was holding Arthur's hand loosely as they watched the race, but she kept taking notes on how often he would tense up, when he would give her hand a small squeeze. Riley was slowly taking her eyes off the screen that was in-front of them, a screen that kept flashing Ollie Bearman racing in replacement of Carlos Sainz.

"Can we leave" Arthur mumbled into Riley's ear. She got the wrong idea of what he was asking and started shaking her head.

"Can we wait until later" She said looking up at him, but seeing a look of sadness in his eyes. "Wait what's wrong"

"Can we go back to Monaco" He asked her quietly. Susan could hear them talking from beside Riley, but decided to stay quiet.

"Yeah" She nodded, not needing to know exactly why right now, but she saw that he needed to leave. "Right now?"

"If you don't mind" He said, trying not to make a big deal but he needed to leave. Riley nodded, intertwining their fingers while turning to Susan.

"I'm heading out" She told her, "Give me a call when you're back in Miami"

"I will" Susan nodded as Riley was following behind Arthur out of the garage.

Riley was confused as she trailed behind him. He was fine all yesterday and the moments leading up to the race. But once it began a switch was flipped. Walking throughout the paddocks without being seen happened to be the easiest thing due to the ongoing race. There were a couple workers that walked around, but no one stopped Riley and Arthur as they quickly made their way down the paddock.

"Arthur slow down" Riley said, trying to keep up with his pace, "We need to get a car first anyways"

"We can when we're outside" He told her, slowing his steps to walk beside her completely.

Riley sighed silently to herself, walking outside of the paddocks. They walked on black pavement for a moment until they exited the circuits gates. And this is where they waited to call a car. Arthur leaned against the metal bars behind him, and Riley stood beside him, holding a hand on his side. She looked at the glow of his phone when he started looking for flights that evening to take them back to Nice.

"We can leave in the morning if there aren't any" Riley told him quietly, seeing him shake his head.

"No I found one" He tells her, sighing when he feels her arms wrap around his neck. "It leaves in two hours though"

"Book that one," She says, "We can go to the hotel, get our bags and leave immediately" Riley suggested, only getting a nod in response.

Riley stayed there, trying to comfort Arthur for god knows what reason. They waited quietly together for their car to come around, and Arthur bought their plane tickets in the process. This was the only time Arthur has ever hated the sound of formula one cars driving around the tracks.

"I fucked up" Arthur said into her shoulder, holding Riley close to his body. He was referring to cheating on her, seeing how Riley was so quick to drop everything for him and he couldn't last 6 hours alone. But he wasn't going to tell her. He knew she would leave if he did.

"With what" Riley asked him, holding him tighter. Arthur didn't say anything, he just melted into her arms, paying attention to the thumb that was being rubbed on the back of his neck. "Arthur.."

"With formula 2" He told her, which is what was bothering him currently, "If I pushed harder that could've been me instead of Ollie"

Arthur felt Riley's chest fall as she exhaled. She was trying to figure out how to navigate this conversation quickly without making Arthur more upset.
