Max woke up in the middle of the night to Riley sobbing next to him. He tiredly sat up, letting his eyes adjust before looking at Riley who had her back facing him. Max draped his arm over Riley when he got closer to her, laying his head down on the same pillow as her and started drifting back off. He shot back up when he processed what was actually going on, hearing Riley trying to hold in her sobs.

"Babe" Max whispered, "Babe what's wrong"

"You're going to think it's silly" Riley said, sniffling when Max pressed kisses against her shoulder.

"No I won't" He mumbled, grazing the uncovered skin on Riley's neck while he struggled not to fall back asleep. "What's wrong"

"I want chicken nuggets so bad" She emphasized, feeling dumb as she continued to cry over her craving. "And Ava ate my pancakes"

"I'm sorry?" Max muffled his laugh against her shoulder, only initiating a deeper cry from Riley.

"It's not funny" She sobbed, "I wanted those pancakes so, so bad"

"I don't think we have any chicken nuggets" He said, not hearing what she mumbled, "Can you say that again"

"Mcdonald's"

"Alright" Max sighed, kissing her shoulder one last time before sitting up, "I'll be back in 20 minutes"

"No because now I feel bad" Riley sat up slowly, wiping her under eyes clean "It's 2 in the morning"

"It's not a problem" He shrugged to off, opening up their dresser drawer for a pair of sweats. "What else do you want"

"A large fry and sprite with no ice." She told him, shimming under his side of the bed's blankets, still feeling his body warmth there. "Barbecue and Buffalo sauce too"

"I'll be back"

Riley woke up an hour before Max that morning after getting a sad case of morning sickness, using that time to take a shower and getting ready before anyone else in the house. Max was sitting up in bed by the time Riley walked out of the bathroom in near tears because nothing fit her. Riley was searching through the drawers for something to wear, feeling Max's eyes on her the entire time.

"I have no clothes" She told him, "I'm still too small for maternity clothes, but I'm way too big for everything else"

"Do you have a dress or something to put on" That's what Riley had been settling for, but that was without people around.

"Yeah but I thought we were telling everyone during dinner" She frowned, looking at him after grabbing a pair of leggings that had enough stretch to fit over her bump. "A dress would give it away"

"You'd look really cute" He moved to the edge of the bed while she got dressed.

"I know but we had a plan" She stressed, walking around the room to a closet, grabbing out a cardigan. "I'm just ready for family to know so I don't have to tread on water around them" She told him,  "Misty keeps asking when we're having kids which is honestly so annoying"

"Little does she know" Max laughed, looking towards the door when there was a small knock placed on it.

"Riley" Ava's small and tired voice came from the other side, she had been outside their bedroom door since 3 in the morning waiting for someone wake up. "Are you awake yet?"
