Chapter 93- Does he still taste like me?

Riley drank more than she intended that night. Jade was in the pits with her. Nicolas was watching the both of them, more sober than usual. He got the whole rundown of the potential stalking situation and had his eyes out just incase. Riley never mentioned Noah, or who the potential stalker could've been, just that someone's been following her and sending things to her house. Riley had her arm linked with Jade's as they stood at the bar, waiting for another two drinks to come out. They were laughing fits, listening to whatever it was that Nicolas was telling them.

"Aren't you supposed to be pregnant or something?" Julia interrupted their night. Riley looked to her side, feeling her smile slowly fade.

"Am I supposed to be?" Riley asked, "That's an odd way to word it"

"It's only what I've heard" She said, "Is it Arthur's or Max's? Or was. If it was there, with how wasted you are it's definitely gone now"

That hit a sore spot.

"I wasn't and am not pregnant" Riley told her, dropping her smile entirely, "Shouldn't you be getting dicked down by Arthur or something"

"No, that was last night" Julia told her with a smile, watching Riley roll her eyes.

"Glad to know he's moved on" Jade looked over Riley's shoulder to say, "You're free Rye"

"I've been praying for this day to come" She said, grabbing her drink when her's and Jade's were placed down in-front of them. "Here's a toast to being Arthur free" She clinked her glass with Jade's.

"And to finding your endgame" She emphasized, looking Riley in the eyes as one does as their glasses touched.

"If Max asks you what my ring size is you would tell me right?" Riley asked Jade, trying to ignore Julia's presence next to her.

"As if he'd even ask you" Julia rolled her eyes, "I don't think anyone will put up with your bullshit that long"

"I will not be telling you." Jade told Riley trying to distract her from what Julia was saying because it wasn't true. "Do you think he'll ask me though?"

"Yeah," She nodded, "You're like my only female friend in Monaco" Riley said, trying to focus on what her and Jade were talking about, "Probably you and Sloan"

"Has he given any hints" Jade nudged Riley's side, seeing a wide smile take over her face.

"Oh he's been pretty straight forward with me" She said immediately, looking at the glass in her hand, "He's told me before December so the clocks ticking"

"I'm excited for you" Jade said with a smile while Julia scoffed from beside them.

"Decembers past your cut off mark" Julia chimed in again, "I give you guys until the end of Aug-"

"Hey here's a question!" Riley looked at Julia quickly with raised eyebrows, "Does Arthur still smell like cherries?"

Silence. Nothing came from Julia's mouth, but it would've been yes. He does. Always.

"That's what I thought" She said, looking back at Jade and Nicolas, "Anyways, I think the whole breakup countdown, and the pregnancy rumors are so stupid"

"I agree"

"It's like they can't make up their minds" Riley exclaimed, "They don't want me and Max together, but they think I'm pregnant- and they're saying I should get an abortion so" Everything was starting to get to Riley's head, it was stressful, and terrifying the things people would say without even knowing her.
