Chapter 37- The Pill

Riley got up tiredly when her alarm went off. She pressed 'end alarm' before laying back down, hearing Max groan when the alarm woke him up too. Riley smiled placing soft kisses on his chest, trailing up to his neck, jaw, and placing a soft one on his lips. Riley scanned his face with a smile, pressing another kiss to him that Max pushed into when Riley saw the small freckle on his top lip.

"I have to go" Riley mumbled, almost swearing she could hear the bed frame creak when she moved.

"I can drive you back" Max suggested, but Riley shook her head, picking up her phone from the nightstand to order an Uber.

"No it's fine" Riley said, sitting up, about to put in her current location then realized she didn't know what hotel they were at.

"Hard Rock Hotel" Max said looking over her shoulder. Max started getting out of bed. He was searching for his wallet, trying to pay for Riley's ride, but she could handle it. "Don't do it" He already knew Riley was trying to rush the payment.

"Max I've got it" Riley said, declining the card he was holding out for her.

"Riley if I can't take you out for another month you're going to let me pay for your car" He said, watching her shake her head again.

"No I can pay for it myself" She sat up on her knees when Max got close to her, about to take the phone. "Max!" Riley squealed, feeling his arms wrap around her when he dove onto the bed.

There was a loud snap under them, one of the bed boards broke. Riley and Max got quiet instantly. They held their laughs, and Riley sat down her phone, shocked that they broke the bed. Max took that as an opportunity to pay for her ride.

"I can pay for my own ride next time" Riley told him, but Max shook his head. He got off the bed, walking towards his bag to grab clothes for the track.

"I can pay for your stuff if I want to"

"But I don't want you to" Riley told him, "I don't want your money"

The complete opposite to Kelsey. It's a good thing she was just a place holder.

"Riley." He said, "I will pay for your things if I want to"

"Do you have a pair of sweats I can borrow" Riley asked while standing up on the bed, just to hear another quiet creak under her.

"I can't believe you broke the bed" Max asked, holding in his laugh when Riley got off.

"It was you!" She laughed, taking the sweats and new shirt he was handing her. "You might want to call the front desk and let them know"

"No you do it" Max said when Riley walked away from him towards the bathroom.

"Can't" She smiled, "To everyone's knowledge I was never here"

Riley got dressed quickly, folding the clothes she was wearing last night and fixing her hair into a high pony tail. Max was smart enough to not give Riley a Red Bull shirt to leave in. Although, he did miss seeing her in his colors. Riley opened the bathroom door to leave, heading throughout the room, seeing Max nearly knocked back out on the bed already.

"Max I'm leaving" Riley said, grabbing her phone from the floor. She put her heels on, which looked odd when she was in something consider pajama's.

"Wait for me" Max said, sitting up tiredly. Riley waited for him patiently, seeing him grab her dress that she forgot to pick up. "Is your car here?" He asked, walking her to the door.

"Yeah I just got a notification" She said. Riley opened the door with Max's hand on her hip, only to be shocked to see Kelsey standing outside.

Kelsey was about to place a knock on the door but Riley opened it too soon. Max did break up with Kelsey. He called her and that was supposed to be it. There were tears shed on her part over the phone. She was more upset about no longer being a wag than actually losing Max. She liked the idea of Max, the cities she was able to visit because of him, the different brand deals that were extended to her. Kelsey knew that was all going to go away after Max ended the call with her.
