Max was sitting on the couch of Riley's new living room. They couldn't stay in her room because it was a mess and not put together. Riley searched a million different closed boxes for blankets they could use and made her way towards Max. He had something running on the TV when Riley came in walking around the couch with a handful of blankets in her arms.

"Took me forever but I found them" Riley laughed, passing Max half of the blankets.

"Did you get pillows," Max asked her when she sat down, seeing the smile drop from her face. "I'll get them"

"I forgot them in my room" Riley told him, "They're on top of a box" She said, shifting over when Max got up.

"Should I bring them both?" Max asked when he left the room, starting down a long hallway to the other side of the house.

"Yeah they're stacked on top of each other" Riley said loudly to him.

Riley picked up the tv remote when he was gone, trying to find something else to watch. Max was making his trip to her room quick, walking past the boxes that were scattered around her room to grab the pillows. Max grabbed Riley's camera from the kitchen to go through all the photos and videos she had gotten at the race.

Max put the pillows down on the couch, taking the spot directly next to Riley when he sat down. There was an entire couch around them, but they cozied up together. Riley snuggled into Max's side when his arm went around her. He pressed a kiss to her forehead before she put an arm around his shoulder.

"Is it dead?" Max asked when he tried turning the camera on.

"No I just charged it" Riley told him, watching him press the button when she ran her fingers through his hair repeatedly.

"It's not turning on" He said, leaning his head back into Riley's touch. "I think you need a new camera"

"I knew this day would come" Riley sighed, lifting her arm when he set the camera down on the opposite side of the couch. "I got a really cute video of you though"

"At podium?"

"Yeah" She nodded, putting her arm back down when he was beside her again.

"There's a million videos online" Max told her, but it wasn't the same. None of the videos were filmed from her perspective. None of them had her commentary. "The memory is still there"

"I need a new camera" She told him, looking around the room behind him. Riley was still trying to take in her new surroundings.

"I'll get you one"

"No you will not" Riley looked at him, "I can get one myself babe"

"It's only a couple hundred euros" Max told her. It wasn't any problem for him, but Riley didn't want him to randomly drop money on her.

"Max I can get a new camera for myself"

"Let me"

"No" She shook her head. "I got it"

"Fine. You're so stubborn." He sighed. Max was getting her a camera whether or not she wanted him to. Riley's birthday was coming up and he needed to get her something. This was a good idea, along side something he was already trying to work out. Riley might kill him for that though.
