Riley and Max woke up closer together opposed to how they fell asleep. Max's head was laid comfortably on her chest as his arms were wrapped around her waist. Riley's hands were on the back of his neck, holding him gently as she laid there awake. Max had been up longer than her, with the knowledge he knew something had been said to Riley that she didn't like yesterday for the night to have end in such a hurry. But he chose to believe it was Lando again rather than asking his family if they said something.

Riley sighed when Max's alarm went off, immediately feeling him move away from her without a word. She moved back under the covers, pulling them in-front of her eyes to block out the sunlight that was pouring into the room.

It was complete silence the next hour while Max got ready for the day. Riley couldn't fall asleep and decided to finish writing what she was the night before. It wasn't until Max walked out of the bathroom that she spoke up about what was on her mind, not what she was writing.

"I'm heading out" Max said when exited the bathroom, he was tossing his shoes on entirely ready to go.

"How serious were you and Kelsey" She asked, keeping him from leaving. Logan got into her head, she wasn't rethinking her relationship with Max, just how close him and Kelsey truly were.

"We weren't" He laughed, then looked up at Riley, seeing the disbelief in her eyes. "You know that"

"I mean there had to have been some serious elements," She claimed, tossing her journal and pen to the side. "You guys were together for nearly a year"

"What does that matter"

"It matters because she met your family" Riley told him, "You must've had some thoughts that it was more than what you deemed nothing"

"I don't understand why this is suddenly a big deal to you" Max shook his head, "We were rarely ever together. I spent more time at your condo to see you than her"

"And do you not see how fucked up that was?" She pointed out that very fact. "To do all of that behind her back"

"It wasn't fucked up because it wasn't anything more than a few hook ups here and there," He emphasized, Riley felt as if she shouldn't have entertained Max's confessions when he was dating Kelsey. She was falling into a comparison of Julia. "I took her to events and that's almost entirely it"

"I'll be late to the tracks" She told Max, looking away from him. "I have stuff to do so"

"You can do it on the jet after"

"I'd rather get it done now" She started to get up from bed. Max was walking towards the door, about to stay silent but his emotions got the best of him.

"You know," He started, looking over at Riley sift through her luggage. "I could say the same exact thing about you with Arthur. Six months of dating but you were all over the idea of us being together before you knew he cheated"

Max left before Riley had the chance to say anything. He knew it was wrong to throw it in her face, but they both moved on quickly. They both didn't handle either of their relationships or their own properly. It wasn't one of the other. It was both of them. They both made bad decisions. But them dating wasn't one of them.

Riley showed up to the Grand Prix when there were 16 laps left. She listened to most of it while responding to emails in her hotel room and sending one out to the FIA, telling them she could play at the end of the season ceremony. She didn't make a good impression on his family and that was clear, but it wasn't something she was too worried about.

She walked into Max's drivers room first, having the code to get in from the days prior to get her camera that Max packed in his bag earlier. But she didn't stay in his garage. She went to Logan's instead.
