Sloan had been quiet all morning. In the kitchen while Riley was sadly making the both of them breakfast, holding in her emotions every time Max crossed her mind. Riley mumbled to Sloan, trying to figure out how she was doing after their conversation that night. Tears were shed and regretful words were shared that night.

"Is there anything specific you want to do today?" Riley asked her quietly, "We can go somewhere if you want to"

"How far is Paris?" Sloan asked Riley, trying to navigate the awkward tension between them.

"It's 6 hours away" She said, putting a spoonful of pancake batter in a pan. "I think that might be a bit out of reach with it already being noon"

"Okay..." Sloan looked around the room, tapping her foot anxiously.

"We can take out the boat if you'd like" Riley suggested, "We can go somewhere in France for dinner"

"That sounds fine with me" She said, "By boat?"

"If you want" Riley nodded, getting ready to flip the pancake over, "There's this really sweet place A-arthur used to take me" She stuttered when saying his name, surprised she was willingly talking about him. "We can dock down outside of there"

"Okay..." There was an awkward silence before Sloan continued speaking. She realized she put a big fork in the middle of her relationship with Riley. There was a push there, where Riley didn't want to get so close and ruin her own mental health, or get involved in the drug scene. She just wanted to help Sloan. Keeping her in Monaco was just to give her a small ounce of freedom before she was gone. "Is Max meeting us there or do we have to pick him up?"

"Um, no" Riley said quietly, looking up at Sloan, "I told him we were doing our own thing tonight"

"Oh- but I was fine having dinner with him"

"This isn't about what you're fine with Sloan" Riley told her, putting the pancake on a plate before getting another spoon of batter. "Right now I don't think you being around him would be a good idea. The internet is a crazy place, you never know what's out there" She paused for a moment, making sure she was choosing her words correctly. "If a video of you snorting a line somehow surfaced I don't want him to get any heat from it. So I think we might stay in Logan's garage this weekend too"

"You can't blame me for your relationship issues" Sloan said irritatedly, clenching her jaw slightly. "Just because you don't want to be around your boyfriend"

"I do want to be around my boyfriend" Riley emphasized, "I do not want Max to have drugs around him. I have always been serious about that." She was being more stern with Sloan than she ever had been, "We already have a lot on our plates and this is something he doesn't have to deal with"

"Then fucking put me on a flight home-" Sloan told her, "This is complete fucking bullshit"

"Okay Sloan" Riley shook her head with wide eyes, looking away from her. "Call mom and arrange a flight- I'm not doing it for you. I told you we're flying back with Max"

"You just got done saying you didn't want me around him"

"At dinner-" She made clear, "I don't want you around him at dinner. Especially with your fucking attitude right now." She said, passing Sloan a plate and fork, "He's coming to America to meet our brother, and that's it"

"This is bullshit" Sloan emphasized, taking her plate and fork with her as she left the counter.

"Well if it isn't the consequences of your own actions" She mumbled to herself, sniffling slightly when she started to feel bad.

It took a few minutes of complete silence before she broke down entirely and removed herself from the environment she was in. She stayed in her room away from Sloan for the next hour or so, getting ready for the day while putting her thoughts together. Her tears wouldn't stop flowing. Riley was confused how Sloan managed to dig this hole for herself. After everything Riley had been through, Sloan watched it all and still made the wrong choices.
