Chapter 15- L'amore de ma vie

Riley woke up on the couch the next morning to the sound of her phone ringing. Her head was pounding, finally hungover. She groaned sitting up, feeling the sunlight hit her eyes which was considered blinding in her state. Her phone didn't stop going off, and she tried ignoring it. When the ringing stopped she started drifting off again. Only for it to hear it ring again.

"Fuck off" She mumbled, sitting up quickly and grabbing her phone. She saw 10 missed calls from Arthur, who was confused on what happened last night, her rushing out on him. She was about to answer his call, but a new one came in from Josh.

"Hello?" Riley said tiredly as she answered Josh's call.

"Misty is having the baby" He told her, "I don't know if you still planned to come and see him when he was born but your family is coming down if that convinces you"

"She's having the baby right now!?" Riley woke up instantly, becoming more alert.

"We've been at the hospital for 2 hours" He told her, "If you leave Monaco today he'll be born by the time you land"

"Fuck I'm on my way" Riley told him, rushing towards her bedroom to pack a bag.  "He's going to be a easter baby that's too cute"

"Hurry up" Joshua said, "I'll have Samantha pick you up from the airport"

"Alright I'll be there" She said, hanging up the phone. Riley opened her bedroom door, confused when she saw Daniel sleeping in her bed. She brushed it off to the side when she pulled out a bag from her closet. She started tossing clothes into it quickly, packing for the Grand Prix in Japan too.

"Where are you going?" Daniel asked half asleep.

"Charleston" She told him, "The baby is on the way"

"Your cousins kid?"

"Exactly!" She said excitedly, walking out of the room with her bag in hand.

Riley had a small skip in her step, heading to her computer that was put on the kitchen counter last night. She popped it open, purchasing the next flight out she could get to Charleston which leave's in 2 hours.

She was about to go get changed over, still wearing her clothes from last night but there was a knock on the door. Riley shouldn't have been surprised when she opened the door and saw Arthur. But he looked like he hadn't gotten any sleep last night. That's what surprised her.

"Rye I'm sorry about last night" He started off with, seeing a mixture of sadness and annoyance in her eyes.

"Why" Riley wanted a reason, she wasn't going to give him one. She needed him to present one himself.

"Because you clearly didn't want to go and I dragged you out anyways" He said, walking into the condo when she moved to the side, allowing him in.

"Mkay" She nodded, waiting for more. "And"

"Talking to Jade" He said, seeing Riley roll her eyes and walk towards her room. "I don't understand why you were so upset about that though when I'm always telling you you're the only one" He rushed out quickly while following her.

They both stopped walking when Nicolas walked out of Daniel's room. Riley had thought he left, but she was wrong.

"Humorous really" Nic said walking past them with his keys in hand, "See you later Rye"

"Bye Nic" She said, walking into her room where Daniel was still sleeping. Riley tapped on his shoulder, waking him back up. "Can you leave so I can change"

Daniel was about to say no but when he saw Arthur standing behind her he knew it was for the best. He got up, shaking his head subtly at Arthur and headed out of the room. Arthur closed the door behind Daniel and sat down on the edge of Riley's bed. He ignored the slight anger that built in him when he saw Nicolas, because he had no right to be mad. He knew that, whether or not Riley hooked up with him, Arthur couldn't be mad.
