Riley's family left and went back to America two days after the grand prix. Giving her a short amount of time to pack for her recently planned trip to Saint Tropez along with everything she needed for her weekend in Canada. The plane ride over was short, just an hour or so. Riley watched the clouds pass by throughout the whole thing.
Max was texting Lando from the moment they landed. Which had Riley on edge when he wouldn't let her read over his shoulder this time. Max had a small dilemma. He had the camera he bought for Riley coming in the mail when they weren't there, so he was having Lando pick it up and bring it to Canada. Where Riley could potentially find it. And her large gift, the one Riley may kill him for getting her could be making its rounds any day now. He needed someone to be there when it was ready.
Riley was still getting ready when Max was waiting for her outside the bathroom in their large villa that overlooked the water he got knowing Riley would like it. He was finishing up a new conversation with Lando as Riley was doing some last finishing touches. Max told her it was an all white event. So she opted for the dress that she was going to wear for their date on the yacht.
A white sundress with a corseted top. She tightened and tied the back herself, which was hard but she managed. She wore a white set of lingerie under it, matching her dress.
"We're going to be late!" Riley heard Max say when her hand went for the door handle.
"I'm ready" She said whilst opening the bathroom door.
Max was still on his phone when Riley walked into the room. A small frown took over her face when he didn't look up at her like usual. Max listened to the sound her short heels walking around the room as she searched for her purse.
"Who are you texting?" Riley asked him, picking up her purse and slinging it over her shoulder.
"No one" Max said, not thinking for a moment and causing Riley's heart to drop.
"You've been texting them all day," Riley said in an uneasy tone.
"It's Lando" Max said, catching on to her worries as he looked up at her. Max stopped everything he was doing when he looked at Riley, watching her put hair behind her ears nervously.
"Are you texting Kelsey again?" She asked, still feeling uneasy about it.
"I haven't talked to her since the race" He said, keeping his eyes on her as she walked across the room. A white dress. He couldn't help but let his mind wonder.
"What did Lando want?"
"There's just a package being delivered that I need him to pick up for me" He said, smiling at the thought that maybe one day Riley would walk down an aisle to him in a white dress, not in this style but whatever it may be that she chose.
"What package?" Riley asked him, turning around with her hand on the door knob to leave the bedroom, meeting his eyes instantly.
"I can't tell you that" He told her, snapping out of his daze.
"Well what's it for" Riley asked him curiously, smiling when he started walking towards her.
"I can't tell you that either" He said, putting a hand on her waist when she started opening the door.
"That means it's for me" She said excitedly, letting her mind wonder to the different possibilities of what could be in the mystery package. Max shook his head, trying to deny it. "It is!"
"Don't snoop" He told her, pressing her back against the door the closer he got and shutting it. "My phones officially off limits until after your birthday"
"Okay" She whispered before he pressed his lips on hers. Riley smiled, keeping both hands behind her on the door knob. She sighed into Max's mouth when his hold tightened on her waist. "Babe" She mumbled, bringing one hand to his side. "Max"
