It was August 19, 2024; the day to hit. Riley didn't bat an eye at all when she was over at her house, getting things situated excitedly for when Sloan would be arriving the next day around noon. Riley had convinced Max to fly back to America with them to meet Jennifer and the new baby, which her dad was over the moon about. He seemed more excited to have Max visit than Riley and Sloan at this point.
Lando had mentioned that Riley should get her nails done. Which didn't raise any flags to her, so she listened, getting them done early that morning so she wasn't late to dinner with Max. The comment on her nails came out more like she was a diar need to fix the near chipped ones she had. But now, she had a neutral shade over her natural nails, not wanting large acrylics on.
Riley drove herself back to Max's apartment around 5, 20 minutes before their intended dinner. She left in the morning knowing that Max had a meeting with red bull that he got sorted out fairly fast. But, she still didn't know the topic of the call.
"Babe!" Riley said loudly after she left herself in. Max was standing nervously in the kitchen, trying to figure out what he was going to say later when he was down on one knee.
"Wowww" Max smiled when he looked at her, "Do the spin" He motioned with his hand. He watched as Riley spun around once, seeing the white sundress move with her motions.
"It's cute right?" She said, looking down at it when she walked into the kitchen, smoothing it down.
"I think the person wearing it's cuter but," Max said, watching Riley roll her eyes.
"Hi" She whispered with a vibrant smile as she stood in front of Max. "I love you" She smiled, leaning into the soft kiss Max pressed against her lips.
"You look-" He was cutting himself off with the kisses he was peppering on her cheek, "Absolutely stunning"
"Thank you Maxie" She put a hand on his chest, laughing with how over affectionate he was being, "Okay- Okay" She gave him one last big kiss before taking a step back. "You look nice" She took in his appearance, the white dress shirt that hugged his arms tightly, "It looks like you're ready to go already"
"Well I am" He said, leaning in for another slow kiss. Max had left the apartment after his call with Christian to set up a few things on the yacht, he was there for nearly 2 hours making sure everything was in order before coming back. "Are you?"
"Maybe after another kiss or two" She wrapped her arms around Max's neck, receiving just that. Max mumbled three words repeatedly between every kiss, feeling as one of Riley's hands slipped to the side of his jaw. "I do too" She managed to say, trying to deepen the kiss the Max kept peppering.
They stayed together for a few minutes, feeling the undeniable burning passion that would forever be glued between them. Riley was the first person to break the kiss, putting space between them before Max made another move.
"Alright Max" Riley laughed softly, "I think we should go before things escalate" She told him, putting a hand on his arm before she tried walking past him towards the door. "Are you coming?" She said, feeling Max's hand on her waist, "You're being so lovey right now"
"Do I have to say why again?" He asked and she nodded, "I love you"
"I love you too Max" Riley said with a warm heart, initiating their next kiss and quickly pulling away.
"I have to grab my wallet and keys really quick"
And the ring, Max dropped his hand from her, and started walking in the opposite direction.
"I'll meet you at the door"
"Okayyy!" She said over her shoulder, walking to wait by the door. Riley had no idea what this day held for her.
