"Jade"

Riley said her name through immediate tears, feeling her hands shake as she looked down at the positive test she was holding. It was like her life flashed before her eyes, everything she had once known as normal would never be the same. Riley sunk to the ground after passing the test off to her, trying to gather both her thoughts and emotions.

If it weren't for the constant death threats Riley had gotten online she would've been over the moon by this. But now, Riley could only think of the possibilities. When it was just her, and people were making empty threats, sure, that scared Riley. But now with the rumors being true, and Riley was pregnant she didn't want anyone to know.

"Riley this could be really good" Jade kneeled down next to her, "Riley.."

"Have you seen all the death threats online?" Riley asked her, feeling her chest unsteadily rise and fall. "That was when it was just a rumor I was pregnant... I can't go anywhere without Gustav now because of it"

"So it's a good thing you have him" Jade was pulling Riley into her arms, holding her while she sobbed.

"I can't have a baby around all of that" Riley sniffed, "Especially after being stalked- I still have to go to court in November. I don't know what the turnout is going to be"

"You guys can still wait" Jade whispered, rubbing her hand soothingly on Riley's arm, "You don't have to keep it"

"I want to" Riley whispered, "Everything's just going to become a mess"

"You'll figure it out" She said, "I'm sure your family will help"

Riley didn't have anything to say to that. She kept running over Max's career, her own career, what her life would look like the next few months.

"I'll have to put everything on pause"

"Let's cry it out" Jade suggested, hearing Riley do exactly that.

It was a good thing they closed her bathroom and bedroom door.

Riley was lying awake in bed hours after Jade had left. Toby was lying asleep right next to her, unknowingly giving her comfort. Max started calling Riley after it reached midnight, he had been debating the past hour on whether or not he should call Riley or just show up. He decided to play it safe and ring her first.

Riley missed the first call, but she managed to grab her phone in time without disturbing Toby. Riley looked at her phone and took a deep breath before she brought it up to her ear, normally she was the first person to say something. Max waited, but Riley said nothing.

"Is Jade still there?" Max asked Riley, standing in his kitchen with the hopes that she was still coming over.

"She left a little while ago" Riley mumbled, laying her head on her pillow instead of Max's chest that night.

"Are you coming over?" He asked her, hearing her hum while she thought of a response.

"I'm in bed right now" She told him, looking at the positive pregnancy test that was laying on her night stand, "I'm half asleep"

"Oh" He said, slightly confused because that had never been an issue before. "Can I come over then?"

"Not tonight Maxie" She whispered, petting toby when he started stretching. "I'll see you tomorrow though"

"Well I'll be over in 3 hours anyways to pick you up" Max told her, "I thought the plan was us staying together to make the morning easier?"
