Ava was devastated when they landed in Charleston knowing she'd part ways with Riley after Christmas for Florida. The worst part was she knew she wouldn't see Riley in Miami on her birthday. Riley had to explain that to her. The next time Ava would see Riley is after Baby J was born in June. And Riley would only be able to do so much with her.

So Ava stayed glued to her side the majority of the time. Riley had to ask her for privacy while she tried getting ready for the wedding. She ended up locking herself in her bedroom for two hours and taking 30 minutes with Max to unwind.

"The color looks gorgeous on you" Max told Riley, watching her through the mirror, "And that ring" He emphasized, looking at Riley when she turned to face him. "You're stunning Rye"

"My boobs are pouring out of the dress and my stomach feels huge" She whispered, trying not to be too loud when there were other people in the house.

"I think your knockers look qui-" Max got cut off when Riley put her hand over his mouth. But his eyes started doing all of the talking.

"Babe" She chuckled, moving her hand.

"What"

"My knockers?" She laughed, stepping away from him.

"It seemed fitting" He shrugged, looking up at Riley, pulling her back towards him with the hand he grabbed. "How do you feel?"

Riley's morning sickness had gone away for the most part. She'd feel ill randomly sporadically throughout the day. Whether it be nausea or fatigue, Riley was praying it didn't happen that day. She didn't want to start gagging randomly during the ceremony. Her aversions were getting stronger, it was a simple whiff that could end it all for her.

"I'm alright" She said, "Just really, really tired"

"Do we have to stay for the whole thing?" Max asked her, feeling Riley's hand in his hair.

"Yeah I'm the maid of honor so. I think it'd be rude if I didn't, I'll probably just sit down the whole time though." Riley sighed, taking a step back when Max stood up, he put his hand on her stomach, giving Riley a small kiss before pulling away. Riley's hand held his there, finding comfort in it while she smiled up at him. "I love you Max"

"I love you too" He was about to lean in and kiss Riley, but there was a knock at the door right as their lips brushed together.

"Mom said to keep the door open!" Ava lied and waited for Riley to open the door. Ava started walking into the room after Riley unlocked the door and went towards Max instead of her.
"Are you staying for Christmas?" Ava asked Max, she knew Riley was, but she hadn't mentally added him to family traditions and events yet.

"Ava what-" Riley laughed, walking around the room for her heels.

"Yes" Max laughed with a nod, "Unless you don't want me to, but I'm taking Riley with me"

"You always get her!" Ava whined, she looked at Riley, wanting her to chime in.

"She's my whole world" Max said, feeling Riley's eyes on him. "I'm not leaving her"

"If he goes so do I" She backed Max up, sliding on her heels, "So I think he should stay"

"Is he going to help make Grandma Josie's Christmas cookies this year?" Ava asked Riley, looking at the diamond ring on her finger.

"Ask him" She laughed, glancing over at the both of them. Ava mumbled the question to Max quietly, side eyeing him in the process.

"If you help" Max told her.

"Ava why don't you go see what Sloan's up to" Riley suggested, picking Ava up when she stood, "I'll meet you downstairs"

"But I want to see you" Ava whined, putting her arms around Riley when she was being carried to the door.
