Riley stumbled off the boat 20 minutes later in her dress after Max had been taking so long. His boat was still packed, just not as loaded as when they left. She was barefoot, stepping over puddles of what must've been mixed liquors. Riley heard Max's voice, but she couldn't see him. Yet it was loud, and mad. Half of her didn't even want for interfere with whatever it was going on.

Riley made a pit stop to the bathroom before she ventured forward, ensuring she wouldn't get an UTI, especially after Max most definitely didn't pull out. Riley ran into Jade after she used the bathroom, she thought Jade would've left by now, but her and Nicolas were still there, trying to milk there time on Max's boat because they didn't see themselves getting invited in again. The closest they've made it was onto Riley's.

"You were taking forever" Jade emphasized, "I was about to start banging on the door"

"Sorry" Riley slurred, "I broke the seal"

"You're glowing right now" Jade told Riley, watching her smile brightly.

"Me and Max worked things out" Riley said back loudly over the noise around them, "I'm just happy"

"Is that why your boat was rocking back and forth like crazy?" Nicolas joked, seeing the red flush Riley's cheeks took on.

"It was the waves"

"Are the waves why you have no voice?"

"Okay- okay" Riley started to draw the line, "Where's Max?"

"Upstairs" Jade pointed above them, "Him and Arthur are going at it- not physically but no one wants to interfere"

"Fuckkk" Riley leaned against the wall behind her after losing her balance. Her legs were sore. "I guess I should probably go up then"

"Do you need a ride home?" Nicolas asked Riley when she started walking away.

"No I'm fine" She said over her shoulder, "I think me and Max are going to sleep on my boat tonight"

"Have fun" Jade emphasized, disappearing into the bathroom.

Arthur's words were barely understandable over Max, people around them were too drunk to care or starting to leave. Riley was trying her best to walk in a straight line, looking up at the top deck as she headed up the stairs. Riley stopped halfway when people passed her on the way down.

"Hey babe?" Riley asked, failing to grab Max's attention, but she got Daniel's who was sitting down with Lando and Charles. "Babe"

"Rye" Daniel waved her over. Riley walked towards him, keeping her eyes glued on the heated conversation that Max was having with Arthur.

"What's going on" Riley asked, sitting down on a white cushioned couch, keeping a reasonable amount of space between her and Daniel.

"Max is mad at Arthur because of the bar incident" Lando said, hearing Max raise his voice, "So they're arguing about you"

"Can one of you guys intervene" Riley asked, she just wanted to go to bed, and she physically and mentally couldn't do that tonight without Max.

"You do it" Lando told her, watching everything go down.

"I'm not getting between two drunk men-" Riley paused, she felt nauseous with being drunk and on the water. "It's embarrassing in the movies, I'm not getting involved"

Max went silent, listening to Arthur go on about nonsense, how Max got between his relationship with Riley.

"Riley needed more time to be alone before getting into a relationship, of course she's attached" Arthur only reflected his own relationship with her. "You made moves before we broke up or talked anything out"
