Max came home with Riley and Ava for the sole purpose of emptying his suitcase and filling it with a few pieces of clothing he'd need the next day and half until he came home permanently. Riley had mixed feelings when she saw him actually leave, but it was necessary, their moment of space apart. Ava didn't know it was negative that Max was leaving, Riley tried her best not to make it seem like it was.

"Oh there's the kitty!" Ava said excitedly after Riley closed the front door. Nicolas had been cat sitting the past two weeks, he hated it.

"Aren't they pretty?" Riley said, holding Sassy in her arms while Toby and Jimmy started roaming around.

"Can I take one home?" Ava asked, kneeling down to pet Jimmy who was curious as to who she was.

"Um. No." Riley laughed, "No, Max wouldn't allow that"

"Ugh I want this one" Ava said sadly, pouting her bottom lip out.

"There's no chance you're taking Jimmy home" Riley said, "Just enjoy being around them now"

"What's that one's name" Ava pointed to the cat Riley was holding.

"This one is Sassy" Riley said, starting to point at Toby. "And that tiny one over there is Tobias"

"Why Tobias" Ava scrunched her nose.

"I call him Toby!" She said, "He's really snuggly too- you'll like him a lot"

"I'll ask mom for a kitty" Ava said, picking up Toby after Jimmy ran away from her.

"Be gentle with him Ava" Riley told her quickly, "Don't squeeze"

"I need to show him my room!"

Riley knew Ava was bubbly and had a handful of energy. But she realized that this was going to be a long few weeks watching her somewhat alone.

Ava was lying down on the ground with a coloring book in the living room while Riley was trying on a multitude of different dresses with Jade's stylist and designer Rosalie. She watched every now and then, especially when Riley asked her opinion. Riley was attempting to find something for the FIA ceremony. It was stressful with the time crunch they were on, Rosalie would be working overtime to get whatever dress Riley chose fitted in time.

"I think this one is way too tight" Riley said, wearing a classy silk navy dress. "I can barely breathe in it."

"Okay" Rosalie nodded, keeping that in mind, "We can try on the next one."

"I think I want something that isn't blue" She added, looking at her baby bump in a mirror they set up. "Just because I'm playing at the ceremony," She explained, "I don't have to wear blue for people to know I'm there with Max too."

"You should stand out" Rosalie nodded in agreement, "Right Ava? Riley should stand out?"

"Yup!" Ava smiled, chewing on the cap of her marker.

"What other dress colors do we have?" Riley asked while Rosalie walked over to a rack of dresses she had hung up in a multitude of different sizes.

"I have a white one, black which would hide the bump more." She said, "If that's what you wanted"

"His publicist called earlier" Riley sighed, holding her stomach as she spoke, "He wants it shown"

"What do you want?"

"I think I want to subtly have the bump shown" She said softly, "I just don't want to feel constrained."

"Okay, we'll do something tighter around the bust that'll run looser and more flowy after we reach your waist."
