Riley was ready nearly 2 hours before Max arrived to pick her up. They drove to the other side of town together, being alone for once which was satisfying. They didn't talk about the events that took place last night, Max had already seen the video of her and Arthur and the gas station, which he knew he was going to see something like that. Riley was holding his hand tightly in his car. His windows were tinted, no one could see inside.
"Max" She said softly, leaning over the arm rest for a kiss. He gave her a small peck when he looked at her. "Wait you pulled away too fast" She said, getting another kiss but this time it was longer, allowing her to push into it. The car honked behind them making Riley laugh when she leaned back in her seat and Max started driving.
"You're going to make everyone driving around us mad" Max joked glancing over at her.
"I don't care" Riley said, "When they can't freely see their boyfriend they can be mad, but until then"
Max made a quick turn into a dealership parking lot. They already saw the car that Riley was picking up out. Max pulled into a free spot, feeling Riley's excitement from beside him. She let go of his hand when he was fully parked and got out of the car, not seeing or feeling any cameras around. They were in the clear.
"How long are we going to be?" Max asked when he got out, he didn't have a problem being long, it was more time spent with her.
"Maybe an hour?" Riley questioned herself, "Not long because I already signed the paperwork and everything, they just have to check my passport and visa"
"And you have it?"
"Yes" She nodded, going into his cars glovebox for it. Riley was paranoid and kept double checking all that morning until Max picked her up for her papers. She wanted to make sure she wasn't missing anything. Riley carefully closed the door to the car, it was expensive. It's been a year and she still hadn't got used to driving around in them.
"Am I allowed to hold your hand or something?" Max asked, unsure how close they were allowed to be inside.
"I doubt they'll take pictures in there" Riley nodded, meeting him at the front of his car.
They waited until they were inside. Max quickly intertwined their fingers once the door was closed and followed Riley up to the front desk. She did all of the talking and handed over her papers. No one could even see them holding hands with how tall the desk was. But they noticed them standing close together. Everyone in there noticed Max, Riley looked familiar but no one could put a name to her face.
Riley could see everyone getting her keys and her copies of paperwork from behind the desk. Max and Riley were left alone for 15 minutes at the most while everyone was filing different copies of paperwork needed. Soon enough they were being guided outside to Riley's car. She had to let go of Max's hand on the off chance someone outside noticed them.
"Did you not want to test drive it?" Max asked Riley when she was handed the keys and left outside alone. The car was officially hers.
"Dan did a few weeks ago" Riley told him, "And for obvious reasons I trust his opinion"
Max opened the door for Riley, seeing a couple on the sidewalk by the street pointing their phones at them. Riley didn't notice but Max gave them a small wave before looking away from them. Riley got into her Porsche, adjusting the seat excitedly as Max closed the door behind her. Riley rolled down the windows quickly when Max started walking to his car, pressing a singular button to retract the top of her car.
