The suv was loaded for bear. Four woman climbed into it with four cups of coffee and four breakfast sandwiches that they got from a nearby coffee shop. Lena was driving, Kara rode shotgun, Alex and Andrea sat in the backseat cuddled up together. "Here we go!" Lena exclaimed as she turned on the radio and began driving out of the coffee shop parking lot.

They were singing to the Christmas music that echoed out of the cars speakers when Alex's phone began ringing. "Kar...turn down the radio for a minute." Alex said as she pulled her phone out of her pocket. "Ugh...it's Maggie.." Alex groaned. "Your exe?" Andrea asked. "Yea..." Alex replied. "Here Al, I'll talk to her for you." Kara replied. "Ok..." Alex replied handing her phone to Kara.

"Hello!" Kara greeted. "Hey Kar...where's Alex? Did  I miss the car?" Maggie replied. "What car Maggie?" Kara asked. "The car to Midvale..." Maggie groaned. "Nope, you didn't miss it, we didn't think you'd be wanting to come with us...since you know...you and Alex split up." Kara replied. "Oh...yea...well I'll still be up there though..." Maggie replied. "Oh? How will you be getting there?" Kara asked. "Plane I suppose. I'll book a ticket tonight and go up tomorrow....still gotta see my dad..." Maggie replied. "Right...well we're on the road, Alex's asleep in the back with Andrea and Lena's driving...so I'll tell Alex you called." Kara stated ending the call.

"There! That fixed that." Kara replied with a smile handing Alex back her phone. "Thank you Kara." Alex replied. "No problem Al, thats what sisters are for." Kara replied smiling at her. As the drive continued the four women stopped and swapped places allowing Kara and Lena to get in the back and nap for a while. Alex now drove and Andrea was keeping her company. "So why'd you and Maggie break up?" Andrea asked. "We had a discussion about what we wanted in the future, after college and stuff...and I said that I wanted kids in my future one day and she didn't we had a huge fight on the ride back to school...and well we broke up. She moved out and I took my time and got over her...and now I'm with you." Alex replied. "Just so you know Alex...I want kids one day...in the distant future." Andrea replied with a smile. "Good to know." Alex replied with a smile.
