One week later of class work, essays, and two new articles, and light practices. Kara was beat. Jennifer came back to school on Monday but couldn't participate in the practices yet so she was benched but still showed up to show her support. Right now Kara was heading to Lena's last class of the day. Tomorrow they'd be going Christmas shopping together and she planned on staying up late to finish an essay so she could spend alone time with her fiancé.

Lena was just exiting her last class when Kara arrived. "Hey darling!" Kara called out. "Kara! Hey love!" Lena exclaimed as she walked over to the blonde. "Rough day?" Kara asked. "Just a long one. Do you have a lot of homework to do this weekend?" Lena asked. "Just have to finish up a few essays and send them out. What about you?" Kara asked. "Just have some online assignments to do and some reading to get through." Lena said. "Oh good. That means we'll have plenty of time to go shopping." Kara said.

"What about practice tomorrow?" Lena asked. "Canceled. We had it tonight instead." Kara said as they put their stuff in the car. "Oh good! I saw Jennifer around campus...how's she feeling?" Lena asked. "She's back in classes, but can't play until further notice." Kara replies. "Well at least she still comes to practice right?" Lena asked as they began driving away. "Yea." Kara said.

A few minutes later they are home and changing into comfortable clothes and heading downstairs for dinner. "Ah Kara, Lena! How was your classes?" Lucinda asks. "Good, we had practice today, Jennifer came back Monday. However she can't go back to playing full time till the doctor says she can." Kara replied. "My classes were fine...same ol same." Lena added as they took their seats. Lucinda loaded their bowls up with chili and sat saucers down with cornbread down in front of them. "Eat up ladies!" She said before returning to the kitchen.
