Tobias' POV:

"Yeah man. I think you should leave since it's our anniversary," I tell Calum.

"Oh yeah, I totally understand," he replies.

"It was nice talking to you," I say as he walks out the door.

"You too," he says while I shut the door.

"Tris?" I barely shout. I'm not expecting to get a reply, and I'm right.

I walk into our bedroom and see a body shaped figure underneath the blankets. I walk over to the side of the bed, and I look under the blanket.

I see Tris sleeping, not so peacefully. Her face looks like she is struggling with something.

Why do I treat her the way I do? I'm such an idiot. I'm just like the monster that created me... There's nothing I can do about it either.

I stroke a piece of hair behind her ear, and I sigh. I close my eyes slowly, hating myself.

All of a sudden, Tris screams. I open my eyes quickly, and she is squirming around like crazy. I shake her and say, "Tris, wake up! It's okay!"

Her eyes snap open, and she tries slapping me. I stop her hand before she can though. "Tris, calm down," I say calmly.

I lift her into my arms and hold her tightly. Her heavy breathing steadies and tears stream down her eyes. "I'm so scared," she whispers.

"It's okay. I'm here," I say quietly.

She soon opens her eyes and sits up. "I don't want you here," she mumbles and gets out of my grasp.

"Tris, are you seriously still mad about earlier?" I ask, concerned.

"How can I not be?" she says, while walking to the bathroom.

"Babe, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. I was just irritated at why you wouldn't tell me anything. Please forgive me for being a d*ck," I say.

"Four, leave me alone, please," she says.

I roll my eyes at what she called me, "We don't have to fight all the time, you know that right?"

"Oh, I'm totally aware that we don't have to. Stop being a jerk, and we wouldn't fight so much," she says rudely.

"I'm the one who is being a jerk? You're so freaking stubborn Tris. I was just trying to talk with you just like any normal couple would, but you are just so angry with me!" I raise my voice.

"We aren't just any normal couple though," she says.

"That's all you got from that?" I say,
irritated.

"I heard everything you said, but I'm just so-" I cut her off, "Okay, just stop. Come here."

"What are you going to do? Hit me?" she remarks.

"That's not even funny. Why would you say that?" I say, hurt.

"I-" she starts again. "Just sit down," I say.

She walks over to the bed and stands in front of me. I pat my hand next to me, signaling for her to sit.

She sits down on the mattress, but she doesn't sit where I said to. She sits further away from me.

I shake my head and say, "Can we just talk without fighting?"

"That's what we're doing," she remarks.

I take a deep breath to prevent from going off. "I'm being serious. Can you just forgive me? I said some things that were rude and unacceptable, and so have you. I forgive you, but do you forgive me?" I ask, calmly.
