Authors note:
When you played the game did you feel like your MC was kind of a doormat? I know there was some dialogue to make people pay you or deny helping people- but because I'm also a bit of a people pleaser I just tried to make everyone happy. Then all of a sudden the relationship quests are done and NOBODY will talk to you. I mean yeah I get the game was made that way, but I'm sort of just imagining that's how it really went down. Once MC was no longer useful to anyone they just ignored her.

That's where the story starts. MC just had the big fight and she's in the hospital wing all banged up. She feels abandoned by everyone she helped because when she needed help they were nowhere to be found. Maybe they weren't allowed in the fight, but for the sake of my story let's all pretend they chose to just disregard her.

It's a bit dramatic- but I promise it cools down. I just needed to set the stage to better rewrite these relationships, and they are MUCH better now (if I do say so myself).

Diana shifted uneasily, eyes closed, feeling the weight of many eyes bearing down on her. Her whole body ached, but the need to know where she was and what was going on started pounding in her head, the blur of exhaustion battling for her consciousness. Still within sleep's grasp, groggy but motivated, she opened her eyes. As her vision slowly cleared she did in fact see many eyes bearing into hers. Diana gasped and within the fog tried to sit up in an effort to defend herself, but felt a gentle push ease her back down. She didn't fight it, she couldn't really- it felt like reality was still quite out of reach, but the pounding of anxiety kept her lucid enough to keep staring at the eyes.

She heard a voice call out something as a pair of eyes moved away from where she was. A moment later a pair of old eyes were next to her, saying something or asking something maybe. She just nodded her head, but heard a groan slip out as the sitting up and head moving both hit her at the same time. She closed her eyes to withstand the throbbing, and when it calmed down Diana opened them again, and saw not just eyes but faces, and she knew these ones. The words being said were also coming into focus- something about "out of it" and "space" and "sleep."

Her foggy attention went back to the faces though, faces of people who brought something burning inside of her. An absolute ache started to form, as lucid thoughts of being used and abandoned stoked the fire inside of her. It hurt! She winced and saw the faces shift. This pain, this pain they gave her- she wanted it out! She couldn't hold it in anymore.

Diana sat up again, fighting against the push this time. With a shaky finger she pointed at the lot of them around her and tried to speak but just a horse whisper came out. A hand next to her tried to settle her down, but she fought back again, swallowing her saliva harshly as I tried to make her mouth speak-

"You left me.." she shook out. The eyes again shifted, but she could see their faces more clearly from the uncomfortable glances.

She looked over and saw a girl, memories without names came in; animals, fights, pleading, pain.

"You cared for them more than me" she rasped out "you didn't care what they did to me, as long as they were safe it didn't matter. I wanted you safe, I kept you safe but you didn't care to see me."

Tears began to fill her eyes, but the burning inside of her pushed her on. It drove her to the person next to her; his red hair and freckles drawing her eyes.

"You used me, you didn't even know me and you used me. I was a tool, not a person. I saw your fire and wanted to watch it grow, but you burned me- over and over..."

Diana didn't watch for a reaction as she moved to the next person, all of their faces fueling her torment that was this explosion. Maybe this had been inside her all along, and she just didn't have what it took to keep it back anymore. The old eyes tried to say something, but Diana cried out, and they stepped back. The sound was foreign to her, and she felt pity for herself for such a broken cry.

"Everyone here just keeps using me- or, or they don't care. None of them care when I'm hurt, I don't even have to hide it because no one looks!"

She turned to face the wide brown eyes and mess of brown hair. The face that tipped her over the edge as hot tears moved across her face.

"You.... you did everything they did, but then you did worse. You tortured me.." at those last words his eyes got even bigger and she saw fear and regret wash over his face, but she didn't stop.

"You used me and broke me, again and again and again- until I was nothing. And I had to face that evil, broken, and alone- and and.. And.. he died-" her voice caught in a sob. As she sobbed, the fire from before was taken out by a wave of grief. As she felt herself being pulled away in that grief Diana opened her eyes to see one more pair not looking at her. The last face around her didn't ignite any new flame, so instead with was left inside of her choked out;

"I know you wont leave me... please don't leave me.." and then everything went black as she let herself be swept away.
