Diana had left care of magical creatures and headed straight to the meeting place. Poppy had been a little disappointed they couldn't study together during the break they had, but she promised to meet up at dinner. Even if she hadn't been meeting Ominis soon, she didn't think she would have the kind of focus she needed to get any studying done.

She had spent a lot of the previous day and well into the evening worried about how they were going to talk to Sebastian about everything. She finally decided she would find the blind boy in the morning and make a plan to meet. In the daylight though she realized that she may not be able to get him alone before he had to go to class- and she didn't want to chance the other Slytherin overhearing them. Thus the easiest solution was to send him a note- she even decided to convert it to Braille, hoping her work on the spell would pay off. The spell was one she was secretly working on a lot, but for a reason beyond just writing letters (but she didn't want him to find out about that yet).

Diana had been so surprised to get his note, but he seemed to think it was quite funny. They were pretty in sync, and she was glad that she didn't have to worry that maybe she had messed up on her note translation. From what she read they had planned the same meeting place, so she wasn't worried as she stood against the broken wall, waiting for him to show up.

She was wrapped in her warmest cloak, but the cold December air still chilled her. She took out an old paper from her bag and crinkled it into a ball. Then she cast leviosa first and then incendio, but tried not to put as much force behind it. The page easily caught fire, but thankfully the spell was mild; so the paper burned but just barely. The little fire didn't give off too much heat, but if she placed her hands up to it she felt the warmth creep up her arms.

"Did you light a fire?" she heard a voice call from the other side of the wall

"Ah Ominis, yeah just trying something out. Can you get through okay?"

He answered her by moving through the small crack and walking up to her. He held his wand out and was examining the little flame that stood just in-front of him.

"Cute- but not very effective I think."

"Its decent at warming hands, here-" she reached over and grabbed his wandless hand and brought it closer to the flame. She didn't want to move it too close so if he moved he didn't accidently touch it. He placed his wand in his robe pocket and brought up his other hand.

"How did your presentation go?"

"Good!" He gave a small smile, "I think I'll get full marks, and even extra points for having it memorized, although I don't really have many other options."

Diana chuckled and congratulated him. Then they stood quietly together, hands feeling the heat from the small flame.

"So I've been thinking..." the Slytherin started "I don't think we should tell Sebastian everything."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, we need his help getting the animals out, but I don't think he needs to know anything beyond that. We can just let him think that we want to get them out of their prison- you know because you are a good person and all. He doesn't need to know what you are going to try to do for them, and his sister, after."

Diana thought about it- really they wouldn't be telling him a lie... but it was basically the same thing. She wasn't against it though if they could maybe save him from more anguish. They still didn't know if things were going to work with Anne, and she didn't want him to get his hopes up just to lose her again.

"Okay... but will we eventually tell him? I mean if everything works then great but if it doesn't..."

"I know, I've been losing a lot of sleep over it. I feel like he's just come out of everything and is finally doing so much better. No matter what the outcome I am hesitant to share anything." Ominis looked a bit dejected and also really tired.
