Ominis felt the tension in the room hit a high as he heard Diana fall back. He heard and felt as Nurse Blainey rushed over to her, immediately after Poppy Sweeting on the other side of the bed burst into more tears and he heard her run from the room. After hovering over her for a moment the nurse moved away and sighed.

"She's asleep, and I gave her a draft to keep her that way for a while-" she hesitated before speaking again "... she obviously wasn't in her right mind speaking to you all.."

No one said anything, even Sebastian, who wasn't known to be able to sit in any kind of discomfort, stood silent.

The group had assembled right after word spread about what had happened with Ranrok, and Fig, and the attack on the castle- and as soon as they were allowed in. Ominis knew that Diana had been fighting with goblins, but he didn't realize she was this involved. The rumors were that she fought alongside the teachers, trying to drive the invaders out. In the end though, apparently it was just her against their leader. Sebastian had actually seen them bring her through the castle and to the hospital wing and he said it looked pretty bad. That was just a few hours ago, and while her major wounds had evidently been healed already (otherwise there was no way the nurse would have let them in) she sounded to still be in a bad state.

Sebastian had come to get him as soon as he saw her, and together they waited to see (the other boy more than he) her. While they waited they were joined by Garreth Weasley, Natsai Onai, and a girl who introduced herself as Poppy Sweeting. He knew the first two from classes they shared, and had heard vaguely of the other. He didn't know though that they knew Diana, but from her... declamation... apparently they had gone through a lot together.

Ominis didn't need occlumency to know that everyone was thinking that Diana's words held truth despite the state of mind she was likely in. Without her using names, Ominis couldn't be totally sure who each accusation went to, but he could guess- and he knew for certain when she spoke about Sebastian. The hurt in Sebastian's reprimand stung even to him, and it was like he could hear her screams in the scriptorium all over again. Taking a deep breath and shaking his head, he tried to shift his thoughts. They landed on her last declaration, or plea, or whatever it was. He didn't know where to place that one.

He waited as he heard the last two of Diana's supposed friends leave, sniffling accompanying their departures. Finally it was just him and Sebastian left standing at her bed.
