During the tryouts Diana had tried to give him a play by play of what was going on, but it was quite abysmal. Of all her many strengths, narrating quidditch would not be one of them. Eventually he told her to take a break and just let him know if Sebastian did something amazing, or terribly stupid. From her remarks, it sounded like he was just as skilled, if not more than he was in their 4th year. By the end, even Ominis with his limited intake could safely assume his friend had made the team.

Before they headed back down to the ground, Sebastian flew up to them again to let them know he would meet them in the undercroft later. He said Imedla had asked him to stay back so they could talk. They agreed, congratulated him, and said goodbye. After making it down and walking halfway back to the castle Diana stopped.

"Oh no I forgot to give this back to him."

He assumed she was talking about the jersey. He could hear her wriggling around, struggling to get it off.

"You could just wait until we meet him in the undercroft, he probably won't take that long."

She shuffled around some more then called out triumphantly.

"Ah finally! And no way am I going to be stuck with this for any longer than I need to. Wait here, I'll just run back real quick and give it to him."

He nodded and began his wait. Honestly she was way too nice to Sebastian, if it had been Ominis, he would have just burned the thing. Not like he was going to be using it this year, it was probably 2-3 sizes too small at this point. Burning it would probably be doing a service to the poor garment.

Suddenly he heard huffing and the sound of fast footsteps. Diana ran up beside him, gasping as if she had been running for her life. Ominis stepped back, feeling caught off guard.

"You know you didn't have to run back, I was fine waiting."

She answered with only heavy breathing. She placed her hand on his arm to steady herself, and he felt that there was something more than an elevated heart rate that was different.

"Uh did something happen?"

Then Ominis heard Sebsatian calling out her name, sounding like he was running after her. He felt her stiffened when she heard it, and immediately started pulling on his arm trying to lead him away. She was trying to make him go quickly, but he resisted, mostly out of confusion as to what was going on. Soon Sebastian caught up to them, also out of breath.

"Diana- you didn't- you didn't have to run away like that-." He took deep breaths between his words, trying to regain composure. "H-how are you so bloody fast?"

"Well I wasn't going to stay and watch!!" she sounded upset or no maybe just really embarrassed. He realized now that she was trying to escape facing something, knowing she was going to be confronted by the other boy. Ominis reached up and grabbed her hand from his arm and pulled at her, stopping her from propelling them forward.

"I don't really like being pulled along like this, so if you could just stop for a moment." She stopped immediately, but still allowed him to hold onto her hand, keeping her there.

"Diana, it's not a big deal." Sebastian said breathing back to normal. She remained silent.

"What's not a big deal?" he turned, facing towards where Sebastian was.

An awkward silence followed, and he felt himself grow irritated. "Will someone please just say what happened so we can move past this?"

"She saw me kissing Imelda under the bleachers."

He planted his palm on his face- stupid stupid stupid. "Ugh, Sebastian-"

"It's not a big deal, we were just kissing. It's not like she walked in on us-"

"OKAY!" Diana finally cut in "I'm sorry I just- got flustered and didn't know what to do. I just didn't expect it and it shocked me, and I just reacted... uh poorly. I didn't mean to um distract you from uh your... activities..."

"Well you definitely did do that when you walked in on us, gasped, and then sprinted away like you had watched her hex me."

"Alright" Ominis shook his head "I'm sure that's a bit dramatic. She didn't do it on purpose."

"I was just surprised, that's all. I didn't realize you two were together."

"We're not," he responded flatly.

"Then why..." she asked hesitantly

"What?" he questioned with a smug tone "gotta secure my place on the team no matter what it takes."

"Oh my gosh" Diana let go of his hand, he assumed to cover her face with them. He just sighed and pinched the bridge on his nose.

"Sebastian I know for a fact that nothing other than being a top rate quidditch player would get you a spot on Imelda's team- who do you think you're trying to fool."

"Like I said it's not a big deal, we were just kissing. She's the one who asked for it anyway."

"Okay I want to be all done with this." Diana said, slightly muffled from her hands being over her face. "Can we go now?"

He nodded and he heard her start to move forward, at a quick pace. He then noticed that Sebastian was following right behind him.

"Um, what are you doing? Don't you have somewhere you need to get back to?"

Sebastian chuckled awkwardly "Naw mate, I just up and left a girl I had been snogging- I am not going back to deal with that awkwardness. I'll take Diana's dodgy reaction over that confrontation any-day."

Ominis heaved a huge sigh and trudged forward. At least, he thought, this was better than meddling with dark magic.
