Dear Diana,
Thank you for the Christmas gift, I really love it. We actually had an enchanted blanket similar to this one when I was younger. I loved using it in the winter because it made things so much more cozy. Unfortunately Sebastian decided that it wasn't "warm enough" and one winter he decided he would make it warmer by laying it out by the fire. Well I'm sure you can guess what happened- and by the time my father was able to put out the blanket fire there wasn't much they could salvage. What they could save was about the size of a pillowcase, and I used it for years after- and I never let him touch it ever again.
Yours is even warmer than I remember though- it's really exactly what I needed. I feel like ever since the snow started falling I can never keep warm. If I'm not covered in blankets in bed, I spend the rest of my time sitting by the fire. There's not much else I have the strength to do anyway, but at least now I could sit outside for a bit and not worry about the cold.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to get you a gift. I tried a few times to get out of the house, but to no avail. Then I decided that I could write you a really embarrassing story about Sebastian you can use against him. I still might do it, but not in this letter. I am feeling worn out as is.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas, and please see to it that Seb does too- I know you will be at the school together. I still don't know what I want to do in regards to him... but after reading his letter it at least made me feel that I want him to be happy. So please do what you can to help me out with that, no matter what happens to me I want him to keep going.
-Anne
