Dear Ominis,
I'm going to skip the pleasantries- what happened to Diana? She wrote to me about the Slytherin quidditch game, but I could tell right away something was off. Does it have something to do with my brother? I have yet to bring him up in a letter to her, but she casually writes about him whenever it is relevant. In this game though, that I know he was playing in, she didn't mention his name once. Looking back through my letters, she said he got the position as a beater, but when she wrote about the game she only referred to him as "one of the beaters." Maybe I am just paranoid because of what I went through with him, but as I read her words I got a sinking feeling that he did something horribly stupid again.
Do what you can to cheer her up okay? I can't even begin to tell you the light her letters bring me. You have been a faithful writer these past few years, and I am grateful, but her description of the world is something spectacular. That's probably why you like her so much too, it must be nice to have someone to let you see.
I wish I could be there with you lot; I miss you.
-Sincerely Anne
