Chapter 41: Sebastian- puppy dog

Sebastian headed into the castle, feeling a heavy weight despite how well training had gone. Even Imedla was impressed by his performance, and he felt confident that it wasn't just smooth talking to try to get them to meet up again. He just wanted to see Diana, life didn't feel so uncomfortable when he was around her. He had asked her where she would be after his practice and she said either the library or the undercroft, so he decided to check the latter first.

He made turn after turn until he made it to the clock like cabinet tucked away in the corner. He unlocked it and pushed inside. There he saw Ominis, reading one of his textbooks on a chair Diana had conjured for them a few weeks ago. The chair, along with a sofa, was one of the better add-ons to their hideaway.

"Where's-"

"Bathroom." he finished before Sebastian could even get his question out.

He huffed and took a seat. He popped up rather quickly though, looking down and seeing he had plopped himself down on a book. He picked it up and read the cover; Healing aftercare: what to expect when you leave Hospital.

"What's this about?" He held out the book.

"You'll have to be more specific," he replied dryly.

Ah yes, blind. "Diana's book is about how to take care of someone after they have been healed. Is she dealing with something?"

Ominis paused his hand movement, and turned to face him. "Not that I'm aware of. I'm sure she would tell us if there was something bothering her."

"Probably...." He stared at the book. It was an oddly specific book to be reading without a purpose behind it. "Maybe she wants to be a healer and work in St. Mungos."

If there was a reply he didn't hear it, because the gears had started turning on the door. Sebastian jumped up at that and ran over to meet her. He began telling her all about how practice had gone, and how he thought they would fair in the upcoming match. Soon the thoughts about the strange book faded into a distant memory.
